Alarming bad publicity to bitcoins in social media

This is some serious talk. We all know that social media is being used as a means of advertisement for investment scam, ponzi scams and other scam related bullshit. They can do it there for it is a free advertisement and no one is stopping them there. No moderators means freedom for them to steal from people.

It's not news anymore  if bad publicity to bitcoin  happens in social media.  The system of people interest works that way.  If someone publish a good news, little to  nothing will have an interest to it.  But if someone publish a  bad incident mostly  the whole world will take notice.  So as to bait more people to view or get interest  in their article, they tend to pick bad thing that happen and sadly Bitcoin and bad news attached with it is a great news piece for them.

Those are into bitcoins are those people who are matured already and bad publicity in media will not make a big impact on how they trust bitcoin. Real bitcoin believers does not believe in FUD and our faith will not be easily disturbed without any valid proof of a certain claim that would affect the market of bitcoin in a negative way.

Im now used to any news to do with bitcoin being bad news, its  very rare that i read anything in the media with a positive spin on bitcoin. The only time i really notice a positive spin on thinghs is when it goes on to speak about the blockchain and not specifically bitcoin. for whatever reason the blockchain seems to have steered clear of most of the negativity.

Compared to that Bitcoin is doing really good at the moment and gets a lot of neutral and positive news as well.
And what do you think had been written about electricity, the car, the internet first??

I think it's actually a good thing that some people on social media are giving bitcoins a bad name. If the viewer is dumb enough to believe everything that he could read on his phone, then he's stupid enough to be not in this industry. We don't need those type of people.

Media has given a lot of good things a bad name so this one isn't surprising at all.

Media usually do bad publicity because bad news always caught the mind of the reader, that is how they can attract people to view their pages or listen to their news, therefore we should not rely on media alone and in order for us to verify the media always check in in the forum for accurate information.

Some media are manipulated by the government and you know that "some" government in any specific country dont want Bitcoin, they don't get it that we have to advance as a human and here it goes were using digital currency they just want to stick to fiats and don't want innovation.

That is one of the points that I wanted to express in this post. That there are movements behind in which we do not know that uses media as a strategy to subtly attack bitcoins by destroying its image in public.

If there are some movements behind the black propaganda or bad publicity what are their motives then. Their motives and who are they is the big issue.

Who they are is simple. Whoever has a stake in btc not suceeding and has resources to push propaganda via the media or social media. So banks,  payment processors like visa,  maybe western union and moneygram,  maybe paypal. Maybe a giant lobby comprised of some or all of those.

I think we need to take everything we read online nowadays with a big grain of salt because we are dealing with bad reporters and greedy news agencies and all this results in badly misinterpreted breaking news that only serves to create more confusion in the public.

Yeah journalist love to sensationalized to the point of exageration.  But the news in fact has some truth to it not in bitcoin but in people who are doing bad things like money laundering, child pornography, drug cartel.  So when people read this stuff, they think bitcoin is the culprit in this which is really not true.  And government should implement responsible journalism so those who exaggerate and coz more harm than good and found out to be biased should be arrested.

yeah, these bad news are getting old these days. and the article is also old showing that OP may have some other purpose for sharing it because it is for some months ago before the rise.

Media is mostly highlighting the negative aspects of the bitcoins. It sound like the bitcoin is criminal currency.

If you look at the news about developing private blockchains, however, you'll find that over $1 Billion has been invested in the technology & that even presidential candidate H. Clinton publicly advocated for blockchain technology this year.

That is the problem. How can we encourage them with saying just stay out of it. It needs to be corrected. There are people who dont know a thing about bitcoin and didnt even researched it because of bad advertisement. There should be a goal to make them understand and not be selfish to tell them just stay out of it. We dont want it to be like a plague.
