Hello , i was thinking about bitcoin future today.
As we all know on 80's Windows was the most famous OS and its competitor Linux appeared by name "linus torvalds" and he said free OS.
Now today Android and many other OS's use this OS.
We saw Linus Torvald on TV his videos and everything about him.
He was behind what he done.

I was comparing bitcoin like
Windows = Paypal
Linux = Bitcoin

But there is some big strange difference that makes me "big fear"
Why is satoshi nakamato hiding?
why no interview on TV with him?
Why bitcoin.org owner is someone else not few big community?

People says , satoshi did this but bitcoin.org owner is from Sweden, Helsinki.

Many companies will never move to bitcoin because of these problem.

People says bitcoin is decentralized.
Really ? I dont think.
Its centralized and its clients controlled by "bitcoin.org"
any network problem forces them to people update bitcoin client on bitcoin.org

And the biggest shit is  , its inventor is hiding.

Another problem is , bitcoin is not secure even more vulnerable then currently credit card payments and paypal.

Think about if bitcoin.org is hacked.
What will happen?
Someone will replace client with "evil one" and force people update clients back.
This is very makes me scare when i think more.

Please someone answer these horror questions.
I was thinking about buying bitcoins but these problems forces me not to buy them.

Says the trojan maker ...https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=136873.0

if i would be scammer.I would get nick like you ( with some stupid name ) and put project OPENSOURCE ( with additional library external injection ).
You think that opensource will never have trojan or virus?
Its too easy to do.I'm security expert.
And if i would want to hack it , i would directly give download link to everybody.
I'm not lamer or hacker.
I was RAT developer and i will make RAT again.RAT developer != hacker.
I'm trying my best to make best product.
I dont care about your ideas. You are just trying to sabotage the project nothing more for me.
You buy or not i dont care.Have you ever done big project free ?
Only academic people is doing opensource projects or big companies makes it but they always some profit target on opensource.
Opensource for you just free...

My webpage will be : http://www.ultraminer.com
I will release site in 1 or 2 weeks.

Anyone trusts or not i wont care anymore.
You dont have respect for labor.

Thats it and i will release KBD 2.0 too
Good luck for you too...

Also, I know you're really against open source from your previous thread, but anyone with a brain and some programming knowledge can verify there's no shenanigans in an open source project, unlike the RAT you wrote.

in my opinion you have two valid points.

my answer is:
the devs need to write a good and working protocol specs - this will take a long time tough.
as soon as we have many different bitcoin-clients bitcoin.org is just one domain-name and is no longer important.

why do you have a problem with satoshi hiding himself? i do like that he is not here anymore. if he would be here and tell his opinion (about e.g. transaction fees) many would just blindly follow him, which would mean more centralization.

and i do think gavin does a great job.

If you knew anything about the history of currencies in general you'd understand exactly why Satoshi is staying anonymous, the people who have made paper money ( I.E the Federal Reserve ) are a very real conspiracy that are out to screw us all and it wouldn't surprise me if they wanted to get Satoshi to make an example of him so people would be too scared to make their own currencies and so on. Think about it, this technology is a bit like discovering aliens or finally making a consistent, cheap source of electricity, what would be the smartest thing to do? Distribute it to everyone, tell them how to make it and then stay the fuck out of the way so you don't get targeted, safety in numbers and all that.

Satoshi Nakamoto is doing exactly what I'd do if I ever found something so world changing and substantial.

+1

If Bitcoin becomes ubiquitous and highly successful, which it well may, Satoshi's feats will be up there with Tesla and Turing in my book (or pretty close).

Also, there is no way that people would be forced to automatically upgrade as there's no such feature in the QT client. Anyone updating is urged to check the signatures at Github to verify that it indeed comes from the dev's.

Sirius owns bitcoin.org, and is one of the first members of the community. He's also an admin here.

John (John K.) , you are not answering questions.
Is this the site which is only taking bitcoin side or its objective website and defending all people's rights?
Any end user can read opensource right? maybe your grandma can read it.

Another problem is , when people buy bitcoins.
Bitcoin price increase more and more , how can a "bitcoin company" can give their money back with highly increasing money?
can you imagine that.

If the founders started cashing out their reserves, since the presumably have a crap load it may cause a scare and mass sell off, which would not be to their advantage.

They're only option is to wait until the ecosystem grows at least a few orders of magnitude to the extent that dumping 1000 coins here and there is just another blip.

- I'm not really sure what you mean here, but this is a forum where people can voice their opinions.

Any end user can read opensource right? maybe your grandma can read it.
- There will be other people who will read the code and sound the alert if it's shady. There is no such way of identifying backdoors easily in closed source work.

Another problem is , when people buy bitcoins.

- Please take a look at how bullion/fiat currency exchangers do. They hedge their positions. Also, there's always services like Bitpay to lock in the prices for you.

greyhawk , answer the questions on top.
You can only defend with these poor answers?
These are not the answers , answering my questions?
Another thing is to your question , maybe you rob people and thief.

Like a fake name hah?

Bitcoin is not "decentralized" proof me if "it is".
Its controlled by some unknown group of people behind it.
not a company not a government.

maybe controlled by a terrorist group?

I don't really see why it matters whether Satoshi is hiding or not.
Don't get me wrong, i'd love to meet the guy(s), I think they would be interesting to talk to, but that doesn't make me not trust the Bitcoin.

Not everyone craves fame and adoration, that doesn't mean they have something to hide.

People would pay close attention to satoshi's trades, giving him a huge amount of control over the market far more than if he was just some guy with a huge pile of bit coins.

The other alternative is that he's dead or that he's just so busy spending his massive stacks of bitcoins he doesn't have any time to appear in public anymore
