Dogecoin Dead???

It will probably survive but that's not only what we want to see on a coin, if we invest on it, we like to see it rise in order for us to be profitable, in the case of DOGE, I think the pump is over as there's no hype on this coin anymore, so it will likely dump in the near future.

The same with SHIB, it pumped this year but it's slowly going down, these two as meme coins are not gonna develop in the long run as hype does not stay longer.

Dogecoins is the pioneer of meme coins investing that people are in hype right now, and at the end people leave it and move to another meme coins.
As a smart investors the people should know that the coin they invested in will be the same like doge at the end, it crashed from it's all time high and never come back again, only the early investors took profits from it while the late investors are get rekt.

Right now DOGE's popularity has dimmed, but I think it's a very natural thing to happen in crypto, even a BTC class coin can experience this, I never thought that Dogecoin would die, because DOGE has been widely used for asset exchange fees with fees  low, until now doge is still the best memecoin in crypto so the opportunity to increase is very high,,,

DOGE looks like it has bottomed out but it also looks like whales are shorting it everytime it shows some strength going up...  It’s almost like it’s being manipulated from breaking out.  I think a short squeeze is in order here to flush those shorters out but the problem is who is willing to take on those whales?

Binance has a Doge promotion going on but it’s not really doing much.  SHIB on the other hand, easy two day run up of 15% each... No resistance what so ever.

Not a promotion for DOGE holders unfortunately  I was hoping a good opportunity to increase my bag but I think Binance doesn't offer this kind of investment for free.

I agree that DOGE will definitely survive, because it has been on the cryptocurrency market for several years and it can be said that it is a veteran. However, when it comes to your price predictions, I am afraid that you will have to wait a lot longer for next DOGE price pump, about a year in my opinion.

as long as there was still a lot of trading the doge, it would be inappropriate to say that the doge would be useless and would even die. all coin movements depend on where the market is going well and so far doge is quite good and there are still many who are interested, so there is nothing wrong like you still hold it, but it is always controlled periodically because coins like doge may not be expected to drop drastically.

We can see this every time with Doge: it falls and keeps falling (the same as other coins) during the bear market and, suddenly, it makes a HUGE move upwards.

Many time it has been called the trend reversal indicator, because more than once it has been the first coin to pump when everything kept falling, leading to the start of a market sentiment change. Dogecoin may die in the future (we all will), but not yet, IMHO.

although many are pessimistic about the future of doge for the coming years but it is proven, since the OP started writing this topic in 2016 until now doge is still alive even beyond predictions in early 2021 giving a surprise with a high price so until now I'm not sure , the doge will die. even though it's still trending shiba as a contipator in the memecoin competition

Dogecoin is getting worse, currently there are two cryptos with this dog logo chasing each other.. dogecoin vs shiba inu... these two cryptos continue to compete... the success of these two cryptos is largely supported by the community behind them..

I don't understand why doge is said to be getting worse?
I am a doge holder since 2018 and actually even though doge is currently experiencing a decline after a fairly large increase but this kind of thing is not too bad for me, because indeed I still feel benefited from doge even though they are experiencing a decline.
on the other hand now it seems that shiba will continue to be on a pretty good track with a lot of people saying their community is pretty good

I figure Dogecoin will shrink away after some time, never to arrive at its pinnacle again. Assuming you can manage the cost of some then its certainly worth getting some so it comes as a decent treat after it gets its lift. I cannot see it dropping considerably more there's still benefit to be produced using it.

Calling a coin dead that has almost 30 billion dollars market capitalization is rather funny to me. Now I wouldn't bet on DOGE going back to something like 60 billion dollars, but that chance is still there as there is still very likely a lot of financial interest involved by very, very big holders.

You are indeed right, I just joined the discussion and thought it is a question relating to the current situation. And be honest, it wouldn't be that surprising if people in this forum ask whether a coin is dead when it loses 20% despite a multi billion dollar market cap. Wouldn't be the first time someone asks, would it?

Although for now dogecoin no longer increases so it is not that this coin is dead, if we look at the previous year then dogecoin is much better than it is today, because last month the increase in dogecoin was very good so that it could compete in the top 10 in CMC even though it is still ranked 13 CMC, And you should know that Dogecoin is one of the long-lasting memecoins and the community today is very large, and has great support from the richest people in the world.

It won't hit $1 anymore. there's no more hype that's coming from Elon Musk. So not even talk about its all time highs. still people buying it hoping for a comeback.

Seeing the current condision, no doubt i won't be able to hit that milestone even who bought it on ath $0.7, is also suppose difficult to be recovery. By the way, elon recently tweet  about telsa company with doge and after that doge increase by its value. although that was on a while but its good to see, elom talk about doge after long. If he planning something, then maybe doge could increase again as before

I wouldn't say DOGE is dead, but that it has lost 70% of it's Bitcoin value, and looks likely to retrace another 60% further. This is usually what happens with a pump & dump:



This week price was rejected by it's short and mid-term moving averages, the 21 & 50 Week MA that are crossing in bearish fashion. Below it's 0.236 retracement level and it can more or less return to where it came from. Ultimately, the next level of support is the 200 Week MA that lines up nicely with previous resistance and consolidation earlier in the year. Wherether it holds this level is also a different story.

The dollar chart looks very similar, implying a confluence in the bearish price against BTC as well as USD. Don't think I need to look at it's ETH price to confirm the obvious here:



Looks like 45 to 55 cents would otherwise be the first level of support where you'd expect a bounce now price is breaking key support levels, unless it can quickly rally by the end of the week which I find unlikely. A 95% retracement after a pump & dump is nothing abnormal in the crypto market, in fact it should be anticipated. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see this return to less than a cent in the long-term.

It may not be pump again, but its existence has long been established already.

Just like Litecoin on which these coins are one of the most old coins in the market.It did make out some significant big movements in the past but doesnt

mean that it is already dead.As long there would be some volume or liquidity then it does signify that there still some support who are
in behind of its value.

No dogecoin will one again touch almost 0.2 and we saw 20% increase in price when elon mask announced that Tesla will accept Doge.
Imagine if real usecase start how much people will buy Doge to secure their Tesla .
Panic seller sold and now real holder remain and will soon rise with time .
