such a great idea having unmanned store especially if you'd accept bitcoin ,but how do the store owner prevent from any criminality, when the store just running automatic like that, the people there could just picking up stuff without scanning, maybe it could be recorded?

So she opened the door from the app on her phone isn't that kinda risky? What happens if someone steals her phone? If I'm not mistaken burglary rate in Sweden is quite low, I'm not sure this type self-service store would necessarily work in other countries/areas. But the idea is certainly pretty cool.

I agree that it will boost the daily usage of bitcoin same way regular store operate. Consider how we use bitcoin for security, Same way we should consider security in our store. If you take notice on department stores, they all have full security and still p shoplifter are everywhere in that place. This maybe applicable to some country but this surely is a no in my country.

It is good idea but i think it is need much time for beta tester to applying on bitcoin. And The developer must be hard working until there are not find bugs and it is need much cost too.

It says that the store is unmanned so what if there was a problem or the system get a bug how long would it take before it can smoothly run again ?

I think this would be an even better idea than having an entire store. Guessing it would be pretty easy to make, at least not more difficult than those Bitcoin ATMs.

many countries already have self serve cashier desks. where people scan their own items and pay for goods. where the machine weighs the contents of the grocer bags to check it balances out
and added easy solution to criminal behavior is: a deposit.
imagine to use the app(gain access to the store) you had to prepay Euro20($20/£20) which sits there and can accumulate interest/loyalty bonuses.. or if security footage shows that your a thief then you lose that deposit.
its mainly psychological that no one wants to risk losing Euro20($20/£20) just for a jar of jam or a pack of biscuits..
but that combined with the weighing machine and the fact that the doors have automatic locks.. then crime can be significantly reduced. especially compared to having to pay out well over E$£1000 a week if the store had to be manned.
losing maybe E£$500 a week in stock is cheaper than labour costs

I hope it will be a solution in the bitcoin payments that will be used to the idea, because of the bitcoin I think meets all the required criteria

Do you have any idea about the risk involved? I can steal anything and everything wearing a mask and no one will dare to oppose me. It is more riskier when using BTC. I can fake money transfer to an address and show that I paid and get all things. Shopkeepers need to work hard to get their desired profits. Hard work pays.

Did you watch the video and understood it or read some comments that will help strengthen the security of an unmanned store? i guess not, reading comments before posting will help you understand the situation of the thread you are going to post in.

It sounds like a great idea for us. However, for a store owner it'd mean pure failure. Why? Because yes, we would like this in order to ease our lives, but... I can already imagine tens of people coming with bags and filling them up with items hahaha Come on, I mean.. it happens now, in the manned groceries, how would an unmanned one look like?

But there are certain flaws which needs to be rectified: 1. The customer's purchases should be thoroughly monitored and later checked while going out of the store. 2. The discounted items should be stacked separately so that the customer may not confuse and pay twice for a product which might be at a discount. 3. There should be a bill handed over in case tax collectors want to verify some of their expenses.
