Ticker to show latest BTC price?

Hi. I wonder if the forum administrators could add a ticket that shows the latest BTC price?

Seems a bit unnecessary to implement, especially since it'll take some time (by downloading it) to update if you're persisting on every page. It takes no time at all to go to any website that shows the price. Bookmark it if it's too troubling - why waste the bandwidth by putting it on the forum when you can simply go to a link to check it and use up less resources?

I think someone else requested this few months ago and the reply was something like 'this isn't a BTC market or an exchange, so it doesn't need a btc price indicator'.

As mentioned above, this has been asked for a lot. Bitcointalk doesn't value BTC in terms of fiat, it values BTC in terms of BTC. Just like how the donation ranks haven't had their BTC amounts reduced despite the BTC:Fiat value increasing a couple hundred times, 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

Well if you really need it OP there is always an option to install Firefox extension with BTCprice ticker. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/bitcoin-price-ticker/?src=ss no restart, light weight.    
Warning though, it will make you obsessed about price
Like other have said, implementing it here would be nonsense. Imagine that this forum have tens of thousands of refreshes per minute, do you realise how much load it would generate?

Just keep Preev open on a new tab all the time. that's what I do. all you have to do is look to its tab and there you have it. btc price.
