http://www.eutimes.net/2013/03/russian-leader-warns-get-all-money-out-of-western-banks-now/A Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) “urgent bulletin” being sent to Embassies around the world today is advising both Russian citizens and companies to begin divesting their assets from Western banking and financial institutions “immediately” as Kremlin fears grow that both the European Union and United States are preparing for the largest theft of private wealth in modern history. Start of the end?

Start of the end?
It was the start of the end a long time ago. The main issue being that the various strategies (if you can call them that) implemented by the western nations to combat their fiscal problems are almost all short-term bandages that actually hurt the economy in the long-run. Not to mention that most of them are completely ignoring certain detrimental practices (such as the big boner most governments seem to have for printing as much money as they can as fast as they can).

You can only kick the can down the road until there's nowhere left to kick it. Then you've got a long hike home.

It's good to know that some of us are one step ahead of even the Russians.

That's the problem. People don't like the real solutions because they hurt in the short term, so they vote for people that kick the can down the road. The thing is, the further you kick the can, the more it's going to hurt to implement solutions.

Start of the end?
Russian leaders love bashing Western countries. It's catnip for the locals. They even have an entire network, Russia Today (RT), created and funded for that aim.

Pretty much, I think it helps to turn people away from their own problems. Like all child-kidnapping etc. cases they do about Finland. How horrible this western nation is in taking and stealing Russian children... Though I have no idea how taking money from saving accounts would help at all as there is more debt than money...
