It will be better for the BTC transactions to become faster and I think that everyone will agree on that-it will be beneficial both for BTC and for us,the people who send and receive BTC.Right now there are some delays which blockchain experiences from time to time and this makes transactions even less faster, but there is another side of the coin which is related to the mining proccess and the validating part.

Most of the time it is fast, the only time that it is slow is when there are too many transaction that is being process in the blockchain but I don't think that it should be called "slow" because it only takes 10-30 minutes to be processed. All we need is to be patient about this process in the blockchain because there are too many bitcoin users around the world, not just you.

Yeah it may depend on the load on network when a transaction takes more time than usual, but i personally never faced this problem at all, my transactions never took more than 30 to 40 minutes no matter how big or small they were.

well it's great for you because some of us experienced a very delayed transaction before including me it was 8 or maybe 9 months ago when I am about to received a certain amount of satoshi it took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes Grin but I am not bothered at least the process is ongoing there's nothing to worry about except if you need to rush Grin
The important here is as long as we receive our bitcoins with the right amount then it's not a big issue of delays. In fact, we are only seeing the disadvantage of using bitcoin but we failed to consider it's cheap transaction fee.

lmao . it's like we only noticed the bad sides and never appreciates what good things has brought to you . Grin you are right mate and I'll prefer to receive my money late than to got it inexact with the amount that you are expecting to receive . delayed confirmations are just a problem when you are really rushing to get your money because you really need it .

It depends on how much transaction fees you are giving and apart from that if their is heavy transaction traffic on the blockchain network then the transaction gets delay in confirmation . If you have payed the correct transaction fees , then it will take very less time to get confirmation.
Yeah, there are already two choice. People who wants faster transaction can choose to pay higher fee. But customer always choose lowest fee cost. I hope bitcoin transaction can get faster, couse I think its still litle bit slow.
To what extent will the transaction be faster because most transaction have done was not beyond my waiting, beside what is the excess fee meant for. Such higher fee will lead to drudgery which will eventually increase transaction fee.
The miners do their job in order to obtain a profit and not out of kindness, if the network is busier than usual then they will give priority to whoever is paying a bigger fee, that is capitalism in a nutshell.

I didn't get any earnings with bitcoins but my brother was showing me the bitcoin transactions so the time taken was 2-3 days and it was a shitty waiting time, so in future, we accept those bitcoin transactions may be fast and getting payments will be easy.

In my experience I can say that it's fast in overall, sometimes transactions are delayed but I see it normal since most of the time the network is busy due to huge number of transaction, but still I am satisfied since I can receive my money right where I needed it.

I just make sure I have to estimate to adjust wit the situation, my longest time of waiting is 24 hours.

Well we could use third party bitcoin services if you don't want to wait. And it will take some time before bitcoin is used everywhere and for everything.

If you asked this question a week ago, I would answer that Bitcoin transactions are very fast, usually 2-3 hours.
But, last week I tried to send bigger amount of BTC and was stuck for more than 24 hours.
I was in hurry to send this funds a.s.a.p and this situation made me very nervous.
So, it seems that bTC transactions can be both slow and fast, depend of each transaction, amount, transaction fee, miners, period of year etc.

Did you try to send them with the core wallet? The core wallet always gives me a fast transaction using the recommended fee. I think there is a problem a lot of times with the recommended fee by certain wallets. If you use the core wallet you dont have problems but of course most average joes dont run nodes.

I have never had any problems with some slow transactions. I mean that wasn't even exist. But last few weeks my campaign started to transfer me money on Tuesdays. Before that they transferred on Saturday, like from Friday to Friday they are counting my posts and money already on the next day. But now they are late for three days.
Hmm but actually when you are sure that they will pay then waiting a few days isn't a issue.
To everyone and anyone who might not know, guys you can spend a little extra as fees and get quick confirmations.
Moreover I think this is happening because more and more people are gambling and gambling sites use like 100-200 address per gambler and hence a lot of transactions.

i think they will find a solution to make all the transactions fast. to save the costumers time..maybe in the futur but not now

there is no need for htis, bitcoin transactions are instant already, the only thing needed is a way to tell the merchants that he/she will have the money no matter what, a insurance, like visa and mastercard give to their merchants, fiat money have 180 days of confirmations, so they are far slower, but because merchants can trust them they are seen somehow instant

The problem is not the wallet but the default fee of those wallets, in my wallet the default was 0.0001mBTC/byte which was ridiculously low for the past week so it took 14 hours to get a confirmation, in my opinion the default fee should auto adjust itself depending on how busy is the network and how fast you want your transaction to take, like 30 minutes or 2 hours.

The fee and the byte site are the most important aspects where you have to point your focus at. Especially when you know how picky pools are when it comes to including transactions into their blocks. Their decision to include your transaction into their block is purely a financial decision. If your transaction has like 0.00015BTC in fees, but the byte size is sitting at +-900/1000 bytes, then pools will ignore your transaction as they can simply include like 4 or 5 transactions instead of yours, where they gain much more income through the fees tied to these transactions. It's not 2013/2014 anymore.

yes no doubt that the of transaction of bitcoin is very good, but the conformation message take a little more time, i think it is not such a big issues, that can be solve easily if the authority give some attention to that problem.

Bitcoin transactions speeds depend on the demand and on the fees you're going to input. The more transactions per second (or better said, per block) and the smaller the fees you're going to input when you're going to send them, the slower the transactions will be completed. We've experienced a few times problems like blocks remaining behind the network or thousands of unconfirmed transactions.

I had some problems with transaction confirmation time a few days ago, it took something about a hour for the transaction to be confirmed. It seems like the same thing happened to other users.

If the proposal is to reach the mainstream, I think things should improve, hopefully with lightning network things will change next year.

Mos Bitcoin debit cards easily exchange value without hesitation, although converting the coin to fiat will likely take time on the back panel.

To be honest it seems possible to conduct BTC transactions in physical stores no matter how long it takes to go through except it's up to the store owner in the end of it all.

It not about the Lightning.network
But IMO, it caused by the spam transaction and which mean it can be increasing the priority fees anytime, and if that was happening and your transaction will automatically be getting in the deprioritize zone.
But i don't think if LN will be changing all lot of the thing. May the blocksize increase can become the right way for that.

1 hour transaction are pretty much normal these days, before the fastest I have was 25 minutes but that was last 5 months ago now I consider 1 hour transactions to be fast. The reason may be because of an increase of Bitcoin isers who are sending money as well.
