Be very careful purchasing Chinese high value coins, there are factories producing fakes by the thousand.
And YEP i know Ebay provides protection.... but just how would you detect a 'wrapped' coin without the correct equipment?

Very true.

Only purchase if you know what you are purchasing. I do not expect any random person to purchase any of these.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I completely endorse it.

Also if you buy with BTC , there is no Paypal protection either - so you would be purchasing only if you can trust me, of course.

Thanks.

How do you validate your chain of supply?
I.E
You may be selling in good faith, how do you verify that the coins you have been supplied with are genuine?

For example in Hong Kong the government insists that any gold/silver comes with a certificate of indemnification which is backed by the government.

The slabbed ones are backed by issuing authority. In this case NGC. You may go to their website and validate by cert number.

OMP has much higher risk - and not for everyone.

I am not a dealer - I am a collector selling some of my collection. I know what to look for any I have only bought the ones I understand. It is based on experience only ( for OMP ).

Yes, there are many fakes. However with experience all those are detectable.

Shibaji is a highly esteemed member of the Chinese Coin Forum, the #1 North American Chinese Coin Forum in terms of members.  Buying Chinese NGC or PCGS slab coins guarantees authenticity (one can look up s/n online).  Just for Chinese coins to mature up to American coins market, it would have to rise no less than 10,000% as the Chinese Coin Market is just maturing. Currently, the hottest grossing ethnic art pieces goes for record braking prices and its not EU, US, Australia--its the Chinese Art Market. These rare mintage coins will one day surpass PM prices by a wide margin IMHO.  Tiny supply= huge demand for these coins.
