After that horrible talk he gave last year I didn't think Amir could look any worse.. I was wrong.

On the plus side, bad publicity like this gives us bulls valuable extra time to accumulate at 'relatively' low prices  Grin

It's now the most viewed thing on the Guardian, apparently. And yes is quite entertaining. Mihai was good.

But ..... TAAAKKIIIIIIIIIIII!!! If you're reading this, please stop calling yourself a Bitcoin developer! You haven't had any code merged into any of the main projects for years. Bitcoin activist, conference organizer, sure, but "Bitcoin developers live in squats" is not only a dumb image to project but also completely wrong.

Edit: Amir felt I was being unfair and asked me to mention here the things he has done, like contributing to Electrum, working on libbitcoin, Python bindings for bitcoind and so on.

Don't forget Bitcoinica Consultancy or whatever.  That was awesome for everyone.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

I always wondered wtf was up with that taaki guy, since the beginning I thought he was acting kind of weird, then I didn't really follow all the drama, but just made a search and found this post from charlie on how he caused Roger Ver to lose 24k and 40k being stolen from bitcoinica and then he just trashed a segway to hug a fat girl. Sounds pretty fucked up. Why didn't the media talk with someone a little more respectable? I do not know.

For me tbh, I could care less about people like Roger Ver who have a lot of money lost because they have lots more.

Amir,  I look forward to karma coming back to get you.
Believe it or not,  losing 24,000 BTC because of an idiot like you, HAS HAD A BIG BIG IMPACT ON MY LIFE!
People with attitudes like yours give a bad reputation to our entire movement.

Do the world a favor and quit your involvement with Bitcoin.

Sincerely,
Roger Ver

Amir,

I've refrained from getting involved at this point, but how dare you say something like this.

For me tbh, I could care less about people like Roger Ver who have a lot of money lost because they have lots more.

Do you know how much damn work Roger has done to get where he is today? Do you know how many sacrifices he has made for Bitcoin?

Wait...you don't. Know why?

BECAUSE YOU RELEASED THE GODDAMN SOURCE CODE OF BITCOINICA WHICH HAD THE MTGOX API IN IT WHICH LED TO THE THEFT OF ANOTHER 40K BTC AND WHO KNOWS HOW MANY USD.

Your fault! No one elses! How dare you say "Oh, I need time off." Please, I've heard that bullshit before.

Oh, and next time you trash and break a Segway in Vienna that Alex paid for because some fat girl offers you a hug...DONT RUN AWAY AND LEAVE THE SEGWAY IN THE STREET!!!!!! (true story for whoever wants to know. Roger, Erik and myself were there)

-Charlie

You guys should all know by now this is the media's game, they want to portray us as terrorists and criminals so people will be more hesitant to put their money in it or think it's a scam.

I suppose there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Guardian journos surely will get a bonus for finding these two to enable subliminal tarnishing of Bitcoin image.

Now this little clip is rather nice and it now goes into my collection. It will come handy to show the jury when character of Mr Alisie is presented to them in pending lawsuit(s).

Do you think it is wise to "promote" Bitcoin by parroting and plagiarizing words of other people and being filmed in process of committing a tort of trespass and advocating drug use?

"[Bitcoin's] not some theoretical concept. It's a billion dollar market with charts and graphs and EVERYTHING."

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Taaki, that was hilarious.
