that is really a very very good idea. i am just thinking about that. although first it will not give me a good profit because most of the people have no idea about bitcoin therefore they are not using it, but hope that in future it will be a good profitable business, i think i will be the first to accept bitcoin in my shop for shopping.

That would be nice way to promote Bitcoin. Maybe it could be also useful to havew some shortw brosures about Bitcoin in such store for those who are not so familiar with Bitcoin. That could be also way to promote it.

I think It wouldn't be a bad thing if bitcoins were used in big cities. It would be fun to have the opportunity to use bitcoins to pay at retail stores.
of course it wouldnt be a bad idea, in my opinion it would allow a lot of people to use bitcoins so the adoption would be way faster
And in my opinions, your opinions is very useless where from you know, the adoption will be a faster?LOL, they have a brain too and I think more wisely the will think and get more detailed about what is the things is wanna be adopt by them.

i think it need time, because the shop owner must know risk to open bitcoin as payment because we know bitcoin price not really stable , but if people already understand the risk of it i think it will be good if some shops can accept bitcoin as payment

It's really good idea and it will help for sure to advertise Bitcoin as real currency and spread the word a lot more about it, but there is many countries not allowing Bitcoin till now unluckily.
A real currency with not having a not real physically and why I must say that it's logic? I agree for the advertising bitcoin but maybe for the countries is not blatant for not allowing bitcoin but giving a freedom for their civilians for using them.

Yeah some country didn't accept bitcoin because it is a threat to their economy.. even we advertise btc but without the law that supports bitcoin legality. I think bitcoin shop in the city is impoasible unless it ia a free country.

They have them already - they're called BitCoin ATM's.

If you want a "shop" any of the TravelEx / Thomas Cook / AmEx currency exchange kiosks around town would be ideal as they are accepting large sums of cash with on the spot rates.  You just have to talk one of these into accepting BitCoins.

Aside from that, a bitcoin boutique seems a good idea. Shirts and merchandise, and probably even hardware wallets. I'm legitimately thinking of starting a store like that over here.

That's actually a pretty good idea, there probably already are shops like that around but I have yet to come across one. It would definitely be awesome to be able to go into a trusted shop and buy Bitcoin with cash. Basically it would be just like going to a foreign currency exchange and changing dollar to euro. I believe that once Bitcoin gets regulated and is well defined within the law, we'll see a lot of these types of shops.

It is a good idea especially if you plan to put it in big cities like the ones you mentioned.
The most important part of a business is to know what your customers might be and the demographic profile of the area.
Make sure that if the population is high in the area, there must be many bitcoin users too.

if you want to introduce bitcoin in big cities or small, is very well open a clothing store with a variety of designs bitcoin very interesting. I think a good design can make people interested, especially fasion very well liked.
Yes i also think this will be a good idea, i am also thinking of opening online clothing brand with home scale production at first and obviously accept bitcoin also as payment method. I am currently getting idea about how i can start this business with minimum cost. Also distributing free tshirt with bitcoin info in them in promotion will be good idea.
yeah it would be a really great idea in my opinion, it would allow me to benefit a lot to be honest because i have some bitcoins right now

not a day goes by when the pioneering cryptocurrency isn’t dominating headlines, but actually getting hold of the virtual coinage is still relatively difficult for most people if some supermarket are going to accept bitcoin as a payment probably people are going to cheers if this happens because some of us are no need to convert our bitcoin into real money

yes and this would help for mass adoption for people which don't know bitcoin. sooner or later, with bitcoins in every big cities, can make people learn about bitcoin and finally bitcoin will become famous in those big cities.

If you don't like the idea of partnering with a money exchange, You could always try second hand shops or thrift shops?  They usually have a small band of volunteers that can spread the word, they are usually tech savvy and you wouldn't have the overheads of establishing a shop and they can sell on consignment.

You can even arrange to have a BitCoin ATM to be in the corner.

You can take horse to the river but you cannot force him to drink the water, if I have never heard about bitcoins and I see shops accepting bitcoin and if I have credit card and fiat for shopping, I will not bother what the hell is bitcoin.

yeah I'm also not too hard to use bitcoin as a payment method. when they do not accept bitcoin course I'll look for other payment methods. as with fiat
