It's not shocking if in that location bitcoin is really popular or at least the usage of bitcoin there is really present most of the time.
It's a surprise if that physical shop will be present in those areas where bitcoin is really unusual to people's ear.
Ya just like you said,mostly in the area who are popular with bitcoin,most of the merchant and shop will accept bitcoin as a payment.Like at the big city or main city,we also can see atm machine for bitcoin.But unfortunately,at small city,there will rare case if the merchant can accept bitcoin as a payment from buyer. I think Bitcoin shop in the big city or small city is good enough. It will more like an advertisement about bitcoin. it will make bitcoin more popular. If so many people know about bitcoin shop in big city they would be interested about bitcoin and wanna learn more about bitcoin. |

yes it's a good idea to open a bitcoin shop n in a big city. bake the look of your shop classy then definitely all will know your shop in your city. and technology loving guys will definitely visit your shop for bitcoin or just to feel classy by entering your shop.

the problem are about so hard to make a big companies that have a lot of stores to accept bitcoin. the real world are not yet ready to wlecome in bitcoin , they still think bitcoin are not really important as long as they have fiat money and more easier to use for them. not really easy to make this happened. |

The problem is, we don't actually have to do it in some big cities. What we need is to spread the knowledge of Bitcoin to all over the world, that's why we actually have to place a Bitcoin shop in small towns instead. Because they are the one who still don't know about Bitcoin, and if there is a Bitcoin shop in their city then they will be curious and want to know about it.

it would be so nice to have this but I think that I and a lot more people do think this never is gonna happen.
The bitcoin will never succeed in getting so popular it has to be to do this..
Let's wait for the update and let the owner of store to know more about bitcoin because some shop in big cities are now accepting bitcoin as a payment method even the online shop like amazon this online shop has a big name where you can use your bitcoin there as payment method as of now i can use my bitcoin wallet to pay bills |

its a good idea but i wonder when it could be realized? because without any movement bitcoin community itself, we can not see that there is any of store offline around us and there are no option for us to shop offline or shop online. but fortunately, for now, we can still buy product from internet with helping from third party.

It would be very beneficial for us all if that happens. If bitcoin is used a lot in big cities certainly bitcoin will be easily recognized and it will influence people to use bitcoin. Bitcoin will definitely be made better known and make progress. But the most important thing is if bitcoin used in my area, it will be easier for me to use bitcoin

I do not understand why u call echangers as shops. In shops you only buy and you are talking about buy and sell. So that is exchanger. I think this idea is pretty possible in nearly feauture. In such big cities and turistic places as London Paris there are exchangers on every corner (must be, I have never visited those cities), so in the momment when bitcoin will began known not only for little group of people as now - exchangers on the street that work with dollars, euros, franks what ever, maybe one day they will accept bitcoins as well.

Bitcoin shops almost feel like those ebay stores that helped people sell their crap. It will be here one day and then people will realize they do not need it at all and have been paying for a service they could have done without the fee the company charges.
Mind you,it did shock me that those companies stayed afloat for so long. Must have been old folks trying to stay hip but not knowing how to navigate a computer.
As for places to buy/sell we have tons of places locally that offer bitcoin atms or you can deal with live merchants at two of the local exchanges that limit you to 10K a week without having to dabble in the KYC garbage.

There is a store fairly close to me that you can pay in BTC Mission Market in Fullerton, CA USA. not too far from Disneyland. The stores are a small snack drink type kind of like a 7-11. http://www.mission-market.net/press-release-14-1/They also have just put in a Bitcoin ATM (BTM) they also have a store and a different BTM in a store at the train station near Angel Statium (baseball) and the Duck Pond (Ice Hockey, music shows). I'd really like to see BTMs in 7-11s all over the USA |

The problem is: brick and mortar shops are far more expensive to mantain than online exchange. Bitcoin is internet animal. It will be amazing to have 'real world' presence.
But at what cost? We already have bitcoin BTMs, but they are problematic to use (from what I heard) and bitcoin shops probably would be even more 'customer unfriendly'.

At Mission market BTC is just another option at the Register instead of sticking credit card in device it just shows a QR code that you read with mobile wallet.
BTM have higher fees than exchanges just like Non bank ATMs do on cash.

It really a good idea towards a good business. This innovative idea may make many aware of bitcoins. The growth will be more. There will be more buying bitcoins like they buy gold coins. More would invest in it as the price fluctuates. Many would gain employments. The network will grow raptly. Only the challenge would be the government. If they allow then, soon bitcoin will be the common currency used through out the world.
