Yeah this is some place to go if you are new, you can get some dust in there, you  can watch altcoin section of this forum too for bounties.  They are willing to give you some of their coins  in return for some service or task for promotion of their coins. then you can convert them to BTC once their coin is in exchange.

Depends on the profits you want to make. For example you can buy an altcoin for 200k sats and sell it when the price of it doubles, and you'll have 200k sats profit. If you being in exactly the same situation would buy same altcoins for 0.5 BTC theoretically you'd have 0.5 BTC profit, but I wouldn't recommend to do that because most likely you will lose your 0.5 BTC. Start with smaller amounts and you'll see for yourself what to do next.

Yeah right faucet is a good start to start getting bitcoin. But it was only for a while. There are many ways to get bitcoin and we can try but studied in advance in order to make a good profit.
