Folks,

I have downloaded an Ethereum wallet some months ago and deposited some Ether. Now after the hard fork happened...do I have to do anything? Ive sent 10 Ether to my poloniex wallet but it is still 0 of 12 confirmations. Do I have to download all outstanding blocks before the transaction is getting through? I have more than 220,000 blocks outstanding.

stop your current mist wallet.

current mist version is 8.1 (i believe). update, when you fire it up it askes which chain.. new forked or old one. pick one.

then let it update the blockchain and see if it shows.

How does this work of your running geth?  I had . 05 eth deposited twice,  once before the fork and once after but my wallet is only showing 0.5 eth.  But if i check on block explorer it says i have the whole 1 eth.

I just noticed that my wallet is version 0.7.2. Do I first need to do the update to 8.0 before I do the update to 8.1?

you can update to 8.1 directly from 7.2.

Can I also download on my other laptop version 8.1 and connect to my other wallet? I mean I have my address and the password...

In version 7.2 is nothing where I can update to 8.1
