Hi, I'm trying to spread knowledge of digitalnote(xdn) because I think it is a very useful alt coin.

The community on Reddit is very largely inactive, are there any particular websites for this kind of advertising?

are you talking about the subreddit dedicated to this coin or are you talking about cryptocurrencies sub because those are active.

you can talk about it on trading, crypto, cryptomarket, altcoin related sub-reddits and doing some giveaways on reddit is a good idea. you can even make a tipbot (see /u/dogetipbot for more information).

also a signature campaign can be helpful too.

but the coin needs to be good itself, and you have to have something to talk about. i don't have enough information about your coin but if it is good, these methods should suffice.

How exactly do I set up a signature campaign and how do they work?
Also, do I need to be able to code to implement the tipbot it into a different tip it?
Finally, is it ok to continuously make new threads about an alt coin?

I agree to the above user, Youtube marketting is good. Also, youtube ads under your name are worthwhile. Try a signature campaign and see how it works. Give away few coins to the users and show them why they should use your coin. I hope it pays in the end.

Unless you are holding a large quantity of the coin you may want to put your efforts into something else.

Why not start your own coin with a fork?

That's not a bad idea but it has been tried and failed.
See the alt coin bitcedi which has no value. Anyone in digital note would have no reason to switch and I'm not a Dev myself sadly.

Actually, you can use this site as a way to advertise your cryptocurrency. I think this is a good start. Since the community is extremely large because many people are getting interested with crytocurrency. Just try with bounty campaigns like signature and avatar campaign. Im not saying that it will be a 100% success. But most of successful ICOs are using btctalk to advertise. But of course you need $$$ for advertising. Just hire advertising managers. So they will manage your advertisements.

You should launch a viagra coin, I bet many people willingly buy it to get some digital boner and show off to other people lol. you just need to search for a designer in this board for signature and then hire a campaign manager then funding the campaign with some coins.

The best for me is still to run a signature campaign, or if you do not want to spend money, to create a signature that you would wear yourself.

You do need a certain budget to do marketing, but marketing cost is normally quite costly because you do need to maintain it for a period of time in order to see the result. You can pay crypto-currency website that are famous and have a lot of traffic volumes to promote digital-note (xdn) for you, or either through google advertising.

Good advice, bounty campaign is a good way to let more people know your alt coin and it is better for the dev team to do it. For example airdrop or social bounty campaign are both ok.
