Well I think the odds of finding a fellow bitcoiner in real life is low. I think that way since there are a few people around the world who knows about bitcoin. That odd is lessened though in our country since we have a group chat on facebook dedicated to bitcoiners in our country where we can talk to each other and maybe set a date for us to meet if the other agree but even if we have that I haven't seen another bitcoiner in real life since those people in our group chat on facebook are lives somewhere far away from the province I live in.

Not that often, but it also happened to me a while back. I went to a meetup with Liberland (the new micronation) enthusiasts and met a few people who were also into Bitcoin.
That's interesting, where was it held? Can you tell us what was discussed?

I doubt i will ever meet anyone else that's into bitcoin where i am. I've never even heard of anyone else mention anything to do with bitcoin never mind actually owning any. The only people that know about bitcoin where i am are those that ive spoken about it to routinely and they still don't know what I'm talking about half the time.

Just today, I was on the bus and I was fiddling with my OTG cable to send a transaction on my phone with my Ledger wallet. I looked to my right, and what where the odds? The guy next to me was doing the same! We started talking, and we just kept talking!
What are the odds of you meeting a bitcoiner IRL?
P.s. I was not taking into the window.
that's so cool! finding people that is into bitcoin like us is surely very rare. But in my kind of activities, i met several people who knows about bitcoin but sad thing is that, these people only knew bitcoin of this MLM company that is to exploit them and just get their money. Though even at that situation, it feels so great that someone in your industry knows about bitcoin too.

The odds of finding a fellow bitcoiner is really low especially if bitcoin is not that famous yet in your country and there are no shops yet that accept bitcoin as payment or may be there are some shops that accept it as payment option but you did not know it yet. Unless someone will have an effort to meet up its fellow bitcoiners then agree that they will make a group and have some plans of making others aware of the existence of bitcoin then there is a chance that the odds will go up.

The odds is high since my mother is also a bitcoiner so we always met everday. Other bitcoiners are groupmates on networking so we meet always and discuss about networking and sometimes bitcoin and other currency. To some it may be low but in my case it's not a rare case but an occasional opportunity that happens monthly.

A few guys I work with are into bitcoin and etherum. They will never spend either, but invest in it as a forex.
you mean you do some trading with cryptocurrencies? i think you should be careful about it because you might lose it really easily if the prices drop No, I have been involved with bitcoin since 2012ish. I fully understand the technology behind it and the hypothesis that it proves. I was strictly referencing my co-workers as the only others IRL that I know who use bitcoin. They trade it similar to a forex market strictly for profits.

I used to go to local Bitcoin meet ups. You can meet people into Bitcoin there all the time. Of course there are meet ups for people that like to bite the heads off chickens and bdsm too. I don't think all of the people that go to meet ups are really well balanced.

As much as I can remember, I see a physical shop accepting Bitcoin near my home and that is before the 2014 Bitcoin bubble. As for meeting Bitcoiners in real life, I don't really have the chance. I once overheard someone saying to another person "Buy Bitcoin" but do not know who said it. lol.

Haven't bumped into one so far, have successfully introduced 1 active person to bitcoin, I think the chances are pretty slim unless you hang around a bitcoin cash machine

that was good experience but i was never have those experience such as you and people doesn't care if i'm using my mobille phone for sending a transactions but i got a friend that he has bitcoin users too and we are always sharing new experience during be a bitcoin user but unfortunately he is the only one bitcoin user among me
Yeah, the odds of finding someone that is also into Bitcoin are pretty slim, but it does still happen. Of course, those people may never go outside and stare at their computer 24/7(which is unlikely), but at least in my area, it's almost the same - I know nobody who knows what Bitcoin is.

Never met any bitcoiner IRL or any shop which accept bitcoin my city too Also, it's hard because we can't find other bitcoiner unless we meet at shop which accept bitcoin or see others who use smartphone/hardware wallet. Yeah, in my city not found bitcoiner people. I see a lot of people are still using credit cards and the like to buy their necessities. This is probably the main problem for us, because we can't meet or share experiences against fellow bitcoiners.

My son pays Pokemon cards and we go every other week to play together. Most of the time I just sit there and do nothing but play on the computer because there are mainly children who play the game around here. So I wan setting up a bitcoin faucet rotator and one of the other dad walked behind me and seen what I was doing. He then sat down in front of me and we started talking. Bitcoin is getting to be more known out there and it soon will start making larger moves.

Although quite popular here,I have not yet find a fellow bitcoiner while on a bus but here in our town people who owns an internet cafe knows all about bitcoin and some of them are actually using their pc to mine altcoins

I have met people who are into bitcoin, actually just recently i have received a call from fellow bitcoiner and inviting me to some meeting next week. Well it is good to meet people that is also a bitcoiner like us but in my area, since most people are not very familiar with internet things, and some are actually computer illiterate, it is hard to talk to them and introduce bitcoin.

I would say it's extremely unlikely. I have never seen a person in real life that even knew what Bitcoin was, let alone someone actually holding Bitcoin, let alone someone into it enough to own hardware dedicated devices... nope. In 10 years it will be common, but we are still the pioneers.

Funny that, I live in London which is a very cosmopolitan, progressive city - also a big financial center - and I've never seen other people use the Bitcoin ATMs I use. Maybe I just go at weird times, but I read so much about bitcoin use and people who follow/use it in this city, but I've never seen anyone using it or buying it. Weird

I've never met another person using Bitcoinw, in person, alive. Only in virtual world, here on.forum or some other platforms. Like Bitcoin users are some rare and endangered species.. That is really odd.
