$10,000 is too high a prediction. Don't get your hopes too high guys, let's hope for $1000 by 2020.
Do not forget that altcoins are there as well... there is competition.
$10.000 might be too high for 2018 but definitely not too high in general. And $1000 in 2020 is very very conservative prediction.I think we will be higher than that. Regarding altcoins they are mostly by traders to increase their Bitcoin stash if they are good at it.Also Altcoins never will replace Bitcoin as long as there will be no real serious issue with Bitcoin than can not be fixed. However I believe a good hand full of alts will find a niche with some nice value.But finding them is like searching for the needle in the haystack. |

Bitcoin will go up gradually and there will not be any sudden price increase which many people are expecting to see a dramatic rise over the night. Bitcoin already has reached to best prices in comparison to last year's price. I will say there will be increase on permanent basis as Bitcoin is inflation free but thinking to see in 5 digits this is too much in my opinion. I will say $1000 is reasonable to see at first step.

Bitcoins were introduced in 2009 but it became viral over the world in recent 2015 and now each and every person knows about it............ As learned in schools and business, when supply decreases, demand increases and price increases........Bitcoin is like a chameleon changing its price at seconds . No one can assure what will happen ....At NOV 2009 a bitcoin was worth 2 US dollars and in NOV 2013 it was 1000 US dollars per bitcoin........... So what is the future ? what is the prediction?  Not quite accurate, Basically everyone i approach who ive never discussed bitcoin have still never heard of it and those that have heard of it know very little about it, They may have heard that its internet money, Used for drugs or they just recognise hearing the word "bitcoin" somewhere. We are still a long long way from even minor adoption. As it stands we have less than 1 percent adoption and im not sure how fast thats growin if at all? If in the future we actually do get major adoption then the skys the limit but getting new blood in is the biggest problem at the moment. |

Reasonable? I don't think so. With less than 4 years left the price must increase with around $5350 in order to meet your price target. It means that the price would need to increase with $1337 per year. Please tell me, what on earth can trigger such a massive price increase? |

As the use of bitcoin becomes more easier, and it becomes more common, and more value is transmitted through the network, the market cap will necessarily increase. If that increase outstrips the minting of new coins, the value of each coin goes up. Maybe moon, but more than it is now.

yes most of the people are expecting so and the reason is very clear because there is no negative news about bitcoin, the interest of the people is increasing more and more they are investing their money here, they have full confidence on bitcoin, in present position no one is ready to sell their bitcoin they are holding it for price increase therefore i think there is no reason that stop bitcoin from sky rocket.

The price is seeing a downwards trend again. I am not sure where and if it will stop but on the long term it should be fine. We should however prepare for something more drastic. |

I don't think every person knows about bitcoin. I think very few people understand what it is. We still have a long way to go but it is promising that the price it beginning to rise again and is fairly stable right now.

We are just waiting for another boost of demands and in that time the price will continue to increase like chameleon and once again we will be able to see the price of bitcoin around $1000, that time will be the time for bitcoin sky rocketing, and that sky rocketing will also play an important role to increase the rate of adoption of people from all over the world.

As many here know, T. Draper made the prediction of 10,000 USD per Bitcoin, for something around two years from now, but I'm still a bit skeptical about it.
Thanks for the chart above. It is really useful, I will perform an analysis about it.

Tim Draper predicts 10,000 USD per BTC in 2018, but I'm not sure how he came to this conclusion.
The fact is that bitcoin can make the live of many people better, I think it's good to reserve some to ensure.
There is now way to accurate 'predict' price of bitcoin in a long time. Unlike anything else bitcoins are traded on the free market, which is exposed to many different influences. Predicting bitcoin price is nothing more than gambling. That prediction Draper 'commited' is from 2014. It was right after that historical ATH of BTC was achieved. So it turned out to be overly optimistic, because of that. There is no way that bitcoin will reach $1000 in near future, so we can forget about 10k in 2018. |

It's not about bitcoin and it never was, but it's about the technology behind it and what it represent.
You can be assured that any technology based on block chain and with bitcoin's transparency could reach those highs easily.
One of which would be ETH.
