Litecoin pool set-up

Hello everybody, i am trying to install a litecoin pool server, so far i have installed with good result a bitcoin pool server on CentOS with pushpool and simplecoin frontend, i also tried to point pushpool to litecoind daemon but it dosen't seem to get work from anywhere.

I would like to ask you how must I proceed in order to have the Litecoin Pool server running on CentOS?
Presuming that I would start from scratch, what steps do I need to follow and pool server to install in order to get some good results?
