Time-consuming can be considered creating the wallet, writing down the 24words and keep the private keys private.
If you need to send to an address which you get from the real world in paper then it is time-consuming writing the bitcoin address on your phone or in pc character by character.

I have the problem in obtaining bitcoin in a stable way. Usually trying to get them turns out on party or another gets scammed. Not everywhere has atm's to get bitcoin and localbitcoins is just the same about getting scammed out of your money.

Why can't you copy paste the address on your phone or PC? If you type the characters, there could be an error as well and since these transactions cannot be reversed, you could lose your coins.

@OP: My main problem is that many reliable bitcoin wallets are freezing accounts (eg: Xapo and Coinbase) while only blockchain seems reliable but I changed to other wallets when blockchain was having issues and facing donwtimes frequently.

Isn't that scenario possible? You want to send bitcoin to a friend that has in a paper only his address and not the QR code (to scan it) then you have no other choice rather than write/type the bitcoin address character by character. I know that it is not safe but IRL it can happen.
The problem is that bitcoin addresses are long and not easy memorable.

I am running Bitcoin Core with the entire blockchain downloaded, and switching from wallet file to wallet file is very time consuming as it can take nearly 30 minutes for the wallet to be loaded as blocks need to be checked, etc.

I'd too agree that the worst problem at the moment with Bitcoin online is indeed blockchain syncing.

not problems though but rather some issues about transferring between a few accounts the small amounts and  having to pay 2 or 3 times fees which are often high for low amounts.

That's why you use a light wallet. There are many of those with bitcoin, like Electrum. The nodes you connect to do all the work for you. IIRC you can connect to multiple nodes to the same wallet to cross-reference blocks.

A light wallet is of no help to the network. Some people run full nodes because they want to support the network. They spend disk space, CPU time and network traffic yet it makes them feel better.

Correct, however my wallet of choice on my desktop is based on a full wallet. Not that syncing bothers me, however it can probably be quicker.

Also, if nobody used full wallets, we'd have a bigger problem than long sync times Cheesy

In my opinions, maybe is better for us if can made or change the bitcoin address of random character become the unique character is made by us, it's will be more symbolize about yourself in the address. maybe anyone having another idea for bitcoin address has become easy to remember.

for me personally? I can't say I've experienced any major problems so far. I guess if I did have a significant amount of bitcoin then my biggest worry would be selling it if I had to. comes a time when you need to meet some bills.

there are so many horror stories about exchanges and selling services. even if the exchanges ain't dishonest, there's a good chance you fall foul of some weird condition of theirs and you're frozen.

even the top line exchanges seem to have a bad track record when it comes to solving problems and reading about the people with 2fa accounts that got emptied on kraken recently does not give me a good feeling. I have a weird sensation in my stomach any time someone else is in control of my coins.

1. Scammers (mainly ponzi scheems) that are really time confusing though you can't do anything about them!
Even if you're warned bout it, it still feels like it may not be a scamas others have not reported it to be a ponzi.

Trying to remember a bitcoin address when you want to input it to a computer from a mobile wallet is also lots of effort (wehn you don't know how to share the information between them)!

It very time consuming but the best  way to transfer btc address  is just wrote down it  thru screenshot or textpad put it in your email then save drafts then open up in your computer then open again your email. Thats my method  unless you have a bluetooth reciever adapter on your pc it would be very easy as pie to transfer your btc address.

I think DLNA works well for android for copying data.
I used to upload them to google drive and do it that way instead!
But, when trying to copy 34 characters, no matter how you do it - if it is done manually, you're likely to make a mistake.  (However, that didn't happen with my dogecoin wallet though).

No matter on how to copy the wallet address just dont do it manually because  theres a high possibility  that you would make a mistake then you would send  you money to a different address even you   mistype "n" instead of "N". Btc addresses are unique in any way even  in 1 character mistakenly outputted then its definitely a mistake.
