After ETH/ETC what coin besides BTC will you choose for profit/ safety?

It seems like Ethereum made a mess out of things with the hard fork. It is still going on but no one really knows what will happen. What other coin are you guys buying (besides BTC) to profit or just to be safe?

Also, do you believe in ETC or ETH and do you plan on buying more ETC or ETH?

last night i buy bts and selling in a little high than i buy, and i made a profit, even is small profit. and now i currently have order sell several coins on polo. i only believe that coins will be make me more profit, i think this is simple for me rather than i am thinking oh this will make us profit, oh that coins will make us profit etc bla bla bla. just thinking and act to trade some coins, make your best analysis, and last, make a good profit. thats it.

I have bought ETC but it is just for trading and make profit because i am trader and not colector who will be ready until dead. I think depend on you what will you doing with the coin if you wanna buy it, so you don't need making questions because your self know what have to do. (cryptos coins are not religions) they are instrument of Investment.

but to answer your question, eth or etc are both getting pump and dumped real hard so if i can catch any of them before the pump i would always buy to make profit but that is all my involvement with this coin, and i try my best to stay away from it as possible,

I'm mining ETC and holding it just to see what happens but its not looking great for either of those coins. The only coin i would concentrate on to make a profit is bitcoin.  Its still the best and most promising cryptocurrency out at the moment and certainly the safest bet.

They made so huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge mistake thats insane. They rushed all decisions and all decisions were bad. Decision about returning money after dao hack, made more bad than good, more people and exchanges lost money, ethereum lost credibility and broke their principles.
If this was only this, but they also rushed hard fork, not including safety mechanisms what developers admited, this is one massive failure  

About you question, nothing is more safe than bitcoin, i wouldn't choose any other coin.

I am asking for investment and profit purposes. I have lots of Ripple (XRP) because I think it is well run and will be used mainstream soon I hope, but the price does not move or fluctuate (which is safe and predictable for now)...that is like my collector bet. I would like opinion on a coin you think is undervalued to trade and ask if you will keep buying ETC or ETH?

I wouldn't recommend holding on long term to it but I think Ethereum Classic has potential to grow in value, trade volume is nearly as good as regular ETH and right now the price is under $2. Steem is a bit more of a gamble but instead of investing real money, if you can earn it on their website I'd say go for it, you're not really losing anything if it fails.

ETH and ETC have reached a critical stage of failure where the possibility of the whole thing being a complete cluster scam can no longer be overlooked.

This.  And as no-one will now trust big smart contracts after the DAO demo, it is doubtful it will go anywhere.  Only use it if you have really a smart contract that you want to use.
This is in fact my general opinion on crypto: don't "invest" in it, use it.  Use cryptocoins to buy stuff with.  

"investing" in crypto is just wanting to syphon seigniorage.

you can't have everything. both safety and profit usually don't come in the same package if you take risks on these pump and dump coins you can make a good profit but if you want safety only use bitcoin.

for profit, it is always a new coin, nowadays is ethereum classic that is being pumped, yesterday it was ethereum forked and the next day who knows and you is going to tell if knows before it being pumped ?

Lisk must take advantage of the current situation of Ethereum. They should hurry up and talk the companes who were planning to build on Ethereum to make tests in Lisk. Augur is one of the well known that is building on Ethereum. Lisk team should contact them.

I believe there's no stable coin currently, if you are afraid to lose just keep your savings in fiat/gold.
