you are shocked seeing the prices go down, it's something really normal in bitcoin experiencing price hikes or price down around $ 40.

nobody really knows and every explanation given is just a more or less wild guess. this things happen a lot with bitcoin, but also with other assets. although with bitcoin this seem to happen more often than with fiat currencies, which is the reason many people think bitcoin is not stable enough to become a widely used currency. but that is also just an opinion.

It is not just bitcoin...most of the currencies' price are dropping. But I think it is pretty normal for bitcoin. probably most of the traders are selling their bitcoin just to book profits and due to the high sell volume, the price is dropping.

But I am sure there's nothing to panic about. It will come back to normal soon.

You mean the BTC price; prize si something you can win in a giveaway while price is the value of something (food, clothes, currency, etc).

The price going down and up is something normal with BTC. You can check the live price chart and see how the price fastly changed in the last years. That's exactly why BTC is a great trading currency. However, even with the price dropping tens of bucks a day, you'll see soon a HUGE increase. I'm expecting a $1k price in the following year.

just an usual price fluctuating,if price just go down a little, people will get panic and then mass selling happening, sometimes it'll up again if the price rising even a little,it's just about the time and i think there's no specific reason behind it

i have no idea to explain what reason to make bitcoin prices dropping today but on my thought this is only usual movement prices and indeed after halving dates this is the low prices for bitcoin and i might to considering to buy with the current prices because maybe prices will be rise up soon

there is nothing to worry about. it's a drop in the price that was expected by quite some people. the market is calm without anything to spark the action. people dump their coins out of boredom.

There have been some extremely boring weeks for bitcoin, so a price move was in the making for some time now. It has only dropped about 25 usd so far, it might go a bit further though, maybe another 25 or so. Atleast, I don't think this was the only movement we are going to see.

If price drops 100 or more in an hour, than it might be time to start looking for a reason, although you are probably too late by then.

First you should correct the title replace prize with price Wink maybe after you would be able to know there is nothing to be worry about it, it's just normal into crypto world and I'm pretty sure it can be get recovered just in few hours, because nobody can know what is going to happen.

On Jun 18, 2016, we hit a high of $789. Ever since then, we've been dropping. Yesterday's drop to 635 is just a part of bitcoin being bitcoin, that is it behaves just the opposite of what most people expect it to do. Some of the bulltards above boasted of $20K bitcoin price after the halving. If we were in 2013, they might have been right; however, we're not in 2013, we are now in 2016. Times are different, the market dynamics are different. Bitcoin fundamentals have proven to be weak, the core developers are weak minded and incompetent. Satoshi's little experiment may be coming to be an epic failure.

you should really asking why the price is so low if bitcoin is already 7 years old, it should be in four digit already

hello everyone. I just want to know what maybe the reasons, why the btc prize is dropping?
again it is a common question asked everyday by someone in this community and is not answerable because bitcoin is unpredicatable. btw, the drop is not so big that we should panic.

and after the halving. it did not even increase as more bitcoin users is expecting. So please educate me about this. thank you.
halving is not something which can sky rocket the btc price in just a few weeks. it takes time. if you ever come back in the end of this year then you will notice some drastic changes in the price of btc and i am sure that would be due to the halving effect. btw, the big pump just a few days before the halving didn't satisfied you ?

it is a process that every other market goes through it, maybe longer in bitcoin. the price goes down because of some dumps and news to test the bottom and check to see how ready the but support is, in order to let the price shoot to the moon afterwards.
so prepare for a jump back and some more possible down trends like this and then a big rise.

Buying the dip...

If you look closely you will know that price is constant at the current price range because some whales are trying to accumulate as much as they can at the current relatively cheap price.

It's probably the logical thing ... less demand.
There is nothing to be afraid of since miners didn't stop mining and HashRate increased since the halving block reward 1,549,464,390 GH/s ATM.

bitcoin price decreases. Current prices range between 635USD - 640USD. a substantial decline compared to previous day. there seems to be negative news makes less bitcoin enthusiasts. but I hope bitcoin can increase.

Good chance that people are selling part of there Bitcoins because the expected price increase after the halving still didn't happen. Think that some people invested some big money in the hope that the price would go the moon. Maybe it was to optimistic to even think that the price would go that fast.
