Does Get Smarter/MIT course certificate have any value?

Is there any value or use to this course/certificate. I have been involved in crypto-currency since 2011 yet I have little to show for it. Will this be a smart idea or move tp gain or buy into a future job? Insight is greatly appreciated.

What you did in your 5 years of crypto experience?

You must have something to show about it.

And it is 2300 bucks, if you can't conclude by yourself if it is worth or not then no matter how good course is, probably is not

I have gained more bitcoin, learned economics in the process, learn the basic process of crypto currencies such as setting up all wallets understanding prinicipals/philosiphy that come with crypto currencies. I have gone to conferences and am coming to terms that it may be best to find a bank job hoping that I will be first in line to explain the benefits of Blockchain technology. Yet I again have little to show let alone back it up.

Personally I don't believe in certification. Ultimately it's ability that counts and ability tends to exists independently from certificates. It's much better to use the $ 2300 you would have spend on the course as an initial investment into your own company / offering.

Why not offer something useful to the community or people outside the Bitcoin sphere? I think basically everyone has some abilities that are marketable. With time, you can build trust, a customer base and - most importantly - references that will make it easier to grow your business.

Bitcoin is about freedom. So starting a new business perfectly fits with it.
