Which cheap smartphone would you get in 2016? Im looking at the refurbished ones on ebay or models that are 1 year+ old etc.  Budget approx = $200, i want the best camera possible also.  Im thinking iphone 5s so far.

Yeah i keep seeing people say the battery sucks?

i currently have an iphone 3gs (haha i know) and the battery kicks ass, i can not need to charge it for a week if i have low use sometimes.

I might just be cheap and get a iphone 4s its so cheap to get one refurbished and has 8mp cam still so not bad.

What I believe is Honour X has the best GPS and I would prefer buying one if I could collect some for the same . Even samsung GPS does not work like an Honour X handset . Its "honourable" .

So that maybe your best choice for that budget.

Lenovo K900? Intel processor, 2 GB RAM, and a decent 13 mp camera (and it's 3 years old btw). I still enjoy using my iPhone 5 though, better than most Android phones my friends had.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Duo is really cheap phone like less than $200. It comes with Android Kitkat 4.4.4 and it has pretty good ram 1GB. If you root it successfully you can increase the ram and also install a custom rom from Linux for Ubuntu Mobile; just the right kind of phone for a programmer and hacker XD
