Hi, all. I know that everyone here would have made some terrible decision about BTC. So I was wondering, what is the worst decision that you have ever made.

Personally, my worst decision was gambling 1.3 BTC in dice, just yesterday.

For my personality, my worst decision, at I put a lot of my funds into the cloud mining site(HO) and then I short time after that HO turn up into the scam and I lost all of my funds in them and the fuckin decision is made by me. but after it, I got some experience to never touched with cloudmining again and caused by seeing the suggestion a lot of people in here giving a bright thinking for me. The total amount of i invest on them is 1,5 BTC.

Im sorry for your loss but what you were expecting gambling bitcoins against the house? This should be a lesson for some people, stay away from those, the potencial rewards arent worthing the huge risk associated at it. My worse mistake at bitcoin were to had to sold last year, i could had made 2x the money i made if i just hold it for a bit more.

Your right, gambling often leads to a loss of the coins, I lost some fraction of Bitcoin this way as well. The problem is even when you get lucky and you are winning you often dont stop, which then often lead to some losses which you get upset and you gonna try to win it back or even be in the profit again, but this often lead to a rage bust and loss of all of the deposited coins. Other than that I never used cloud mining sites so Im out of more Bitcoin worst decisions.

That is true worst decision its because we all know that the gambling is not profitable but you will pursue to invest and to gamble and i think you already learned about your experience and i hope you do not gamble again.

I first knew bitcoin in 2011. I didn't risk a lot so my stash used to be in the hundreds (had I risked, it could be thousands), then I was hit by a car → broken leg → some months on sick leave → reduced income → had to sell in order to eat and pay bills.

I should have starved a bit. Seriously.

My worst decision is i did not stick with my plan that i will not get any Bitcoin from my Bitcoin wallet but instead i send Bitcoin to 1 of my gambling site that i am playing and after a long run i loss that deposit.

I feel sorry for your loss mate. My worst decision is joining cloudmining sites also or doubler site expecting my coins will be doubled, then I loss all of them, but that was before when I didn't know yet this forum. And when I joined here I never go back in any cloudmining sites and I'm totally against ponzi sites because of scamming people.

My worst decision was way back in 2009 when bitcoin was about 70BTC/1USD and I didn't buy it because I was invested at the time in iraqi dinnar and I tought to my self that I should not go into another avanture. After that I only came back to bitcoin a month ago and haven't got the change to make any bad decisions.

Yeah many of us here got victim of cloud mining and get people money .but now many of us of this community learn a lesson that don't put all your money in any kind of ponzi and hyip investment . I feel sorry for your lost brother ,but try to recover it again.

Wait, so did you lose all of your bitcoin that you gambled?  That's quite a bit.

My worst decision was dabbling in the loan market earlier this year,  got burned for 0.3 btc.  Learned my lesson there that collateral is key and people here are not to be trusted.

I only lost my BTC to two things - gambling and HYIP sites.

In gambling, I used to go YOLO whenever I get angry. I feel like the whole thing is against me so I keep losing. And then I get the feeling of being lucky for a round and then I bet a lot of coins while in my mind if I win that round, I'll recover all the losses that I had. Unfortunately, in most cases, I don't win that round.

When I was still a newbie, I used to invest in HYIP sites and bitcoin doublers. You all know the drill, we thought that those sites are legit since they are paying at first. But sadly, they are just ponzi sites and would runaway eventually.

So far, the worst thing I've done was to buy altcoins at their peak prices just to see them plummet day by day. It sucks that I didn't do a lot of reading and research before buying that is why I wasn't able to anticipate what is going to happen. I'll just charge it to experience since it is not something that's really big and I would just keep learning new things to avoid any more of those mistakes.

I have sold most of my Bitcoins at 300ish. Bought them at 200ish so that looked good at that time but i could do lot better and now idk if i should buy at this price now or wait.

I also went on a spending spree, when the price reached $800+ a few years ago. I bought gifts for friends and all the stuff we needed in the house. I should have spend less and kept some more, because the price rocketed past $1000 soon after that.

I still have some of the items I have bought back then and we had a good shopping spree, but I could have had a lot more bitcoin now. ^hmmmm^

My worst decision is buying bitcoin at the price in $700 and selling in $650 maybe it's not a big amount just .3 btc but for me is the very high amount. well, i never wanna buying bitcoin if the price of bitcoin is more than $600. and I selling caused by obliged about the urgent needs .

Wow.. 1.3 BTC? That hurts a lot dude.. That is a huge money but you dont have control over it so it is not actually a decision I think. haha. As for me, I think that worst decision about btc is buying it at a very high price then sell it at a much lower price just to cut the unrealized losses. If someone really needs money then its understandable but if they just sold it because they are afraid that its price will continue to go down then it is the worst decision they can make.
