The worst decision was not to buy them when price was $100 in the past, and the most worst part is I was aware about btcoins but still didn't show any interest in investing in it.

Many of us regrets that time we didnt buy some. At least 1btc is good for me but I still didnt. We might not experience it again so we better start adding up some bitcoins in our wallet to prevent that regret to happen again. We did learn something from it.

Yes and in future price of bitcoin will be much higher so if we don't buy with current price then we will again regret in future, so its better to keep on buying on regular basis.

Lol if he have spend enough time in reading the experiences of people on this forum then I am sure he will be alert about the scams and ponzi sites that are operating around.
The problem with many people here, they are not never remembering and applying others experience in their real time situations when they are encountering. I am the bad example for that, even I have read many gamblers experience about gambling and ponzi schemes, I have lost more than 0.1 BTC in many of similar sites, out of greedy.
Yes, this forum must be rich a sources of awareness, every bitcoiner must teach himself about how to avoid any potential scam. Unfortunately we are keep on seeing many people are going for trade without escrow or people are losing their valuable bitcoins into gambling sites etc something similar keep on happening around bitcoiners and for members of this forum, even though a similar experience had been discussed here so many times.
Yes, really pathetic. People are rushing towards earning bitcoin but never remembering the lessons that they are learning here. What is the use of working hard on earning bitcoin and losing it by not having enough knowledge about how to secure it. Worst decisions must be avoided from other experience.

I think that my worst decision is leaving Bitcoin without even trying to get deeper and learn about it.
I joined the world of Bitcoin about a year a go (not the forum) and I started earning with doing tasks and refering on faucets. It did not get profitable as I thought and I left Bitcoin. A few months later I discovered these forums and started earning 'seriously'.
I did not really have some decisions that cost me some Bitcoins, but I did dump some $.

Investing in ponzis and cloud mining sites were the worst decision of my life where I have lost lot of bitcoins in the past and still trying to recover them.

I think that was the worst decision the majority of us have done.  Investing on scammed sites that always look too good to be true.  We are all victims of these sites that gives us a promise of big interest rate.  All you can do is to deposit but never can withdraw.  I still regretting it up to this time since I do not think twice.

But Thanks God that I have not made any decision like that, I often try to stay away from ponzi schemes as from the start of online job I saw one of my friend lose a big amount of money in a ponzi scheme and so I decided to not to invest in any ponzi scheme, so I am secured till now.

You are right the price of bitcoin will increase much higher in the coming future for that we have to buy a good volume of bitcoins so that we will also get a good profit from the increase of bitcoin price . I am buying with the money available with me and those who are not buying will regret in future.

Hi, all. I know that everyone here would have made some terrible decision about BTC. So I was wondering, what is the worst decision that you have ever made.

Personally, my worst decision was gambling 1.3 BTC in dice, just yesterday. Smiley

Look when trading or calling better "playing" with online money is much more different that in the real life "playing" with cash, how economist we are in the real life but we don't spare online? because it is digit? or we think like these numbers are the same as in calculator when we swipe all numbers and we add again. You made a bad decision and hope you have learned from your mistake to not gamble ever. I consider my worst decision about bitcoin was by not selling them at the right time when the price was very high.

I would say trading but the truth is I always have found a way to buy when bitcoin is high and drops right after I buy it.
So on top of getting dinged at the bitcoin Atm,I also end up losing more like not even 2 days later. Have bought a few times to see it drop by the time I get home, kind of funny how I have no memory of it working the other way for me.
My venture in trading was me not noticing fees eating up my total till the end of the day thinking I was doing good. Roll Eyes

Cloud mining are good for passive investors and we should not consider about returns only in bitcoin but in equivalent USD value that too slowly for long duration. But, bitcoin itself will be very good investment over long period of holding, then why should I go for cloud mining because my worst decision with bitcoin was with cloud mining only.
Yes. Cloud mining must multiply our bitcoin and not just USD ROI. Most of the cloud mining are not even profitable with equivalent fiat calculations. But, investing into a reputed cloud mining business will not be a worst decision about bitcoins. Also, I too agree cloud mining business will become famous again when bitcoin price goes high.

300 BTC is a huge amount today, but when I lost it, it's only worth about US$4000 and I determined it's not the end of the world even if I lose it, so I took the risk.

Fortunately, I still have some BTC left  Wink
Lost 300 BTC by "investing" in BTCST .......  Roll Eyes Cry

300 Bitcoins?  Shocked Who told you to put all your eggs in one basket? This mostly happens when people don't think before investing somewhere or when they get greedy to earn a lot of money at once and in that hurry they just do it without any research or something about that source they are investing with.
I am sorry to say and I really feel bad if you lost this much amount, but this sounded like a fake post to me. I mean come on a member who has lost will take a minute to tell us what exactly happened and how he lost such huge amount.
That looked like he just wanted to make a post, that's it.

Even $4000 is not a small amount right now, we lost just a few dollars in those ponzi and hyips and we still cant forget it because we know we took wrong decisions about them but if someone lost $4000 in a site i wonder what he felt at that time.

It can gain popularity even today if they start operating in a genuine way and stop scamming their investors, and till that is not done people will surely avoid putting their money in those sites.

The worst decision for me would be not spending my Bitcoins. If I don't do so, I'd just sit and assume it's value would rise over time and not spend it on anything. I feel it's better to enjoy with what we have now, save only some for the future. Afterall, no one can predict the value of anything in the future as it is uncertain.

I lost 25 dollars’ worth of bitcoin  more than one year ago buying a piece of software that at the end of the day I did not need, the software worked flawlessly but I made the mistake, at current prices that bitcoin will be worth closer to 65 dollars.

Well if price exceeds then your entry price then without thinking much you should sell your coins and collect the profits as if price falls in your future then your holding won't be worth and waste your time.

Investing in doubler, ponzi and cloud mining sites are the most common mistakes that everyone has done in the past and we are still recovering from those losses.

Worst decision you can make with Bitcoin is buying for to much money, many people do this because they somehow want to invest in Bitcoin no matter what the price is at the moment.
I have also done this but not anymore because I could have handled it better.

Yes, securing your bitcoin is more important than earning it. If you are not good in saving your bitcoins safely then what is the use of earning it. Yes, you will earn it and you will lose it if you are not good in knowledge about possible scam attempts. I really appreciate this forum members for their effort about spreading awareness by having this kind of threads to show some people's mistake and what a lesson we could learn from it.

I think one of the worst decision that you can do about BTC is trusting somebody too much. You trust somebody on the Internet too much that you get so comfortable with him. You even let that user borrow some of your coins. That'd be your worst decision because if he runs away, you'd feel betrayed and scammed at the same time. That might not happen to everyone but it's better to always remember that.

If you can afford to trust someone in online world then you are wrong place, as there is no face to face dealing in bitcoin world which makes it really difficult to have faith on someone.
