I am happy to announce the beta launch of Satoshi Direct. We've been working hard on the site and have a lot of polishing and work left to do. We currently have over 5,000 products on the site and are processing tens of thousands more.

Satoshi Direct is a bitcoin only store. We are working hard to build a lifestyle store that is a part of the community, that supports the community. Satoshi Direct does not settle purchases in fiat currency. Customer purchases are made in bitcoin, funds are maintained in bitcoin, and we are doing as much business as possible in bitcoin in support of the community. I believe that to grow bitcoin and the cryptocurrency revolution, we need to create borderless opportunities for the mainstream consumer and merchant to purchase and sell their products and services. Thanks for your feedback.  We've learned some lessons during the beta launch and have a lot of work to do!  Right now our design philosophy is very minimal.  The idea is to draw a focus to the product.  It sounds like you think we can improve on it.  We have a lot of product work to do, including over 1,000 additional Steam, Uplay, Xbox, etc game keys to add, and more than 25,000 products to add to the site.

That seems like a obvious idea for some but finding providers and persuade them to this is hard, finding buyers is hard and definitely it's really hard to maintain this wide variety of items marketing.

Thank you for your kind comments.  I am definitely aware that trust in crypto is a long game.  I've experienced plenty of bad investments myself for people and projects I vetted and trusted.

Personally, I have a long history in tech startups and ecommerce.  I was hired to found the ecommerce business for Alpinestars (not just the site, the logistics, warehousing, customer service, marketing, etc) as a stand alone business unit, and was recently hired to turnaround an ecommerce business and find a buyer for it.  I'm very passionate about crypto - from the tech to the social revolution, and have been a part of the community for several years.

I have enough funding to keep us going for a year or so, and am committed to give Satoshi Direct the best chance I can to find a market.  I think bitcoin and crypto need a more and more mainstream channels to grow.  Satoshi Direct hopes to be one of those channels.

Another thing you should update are the games, every day many game companies release many games and a lot of people who love games.

Thank you very much for your insights and kind feedback.  We added over 60 games today, and have a backlog of almost 1,000 additional games to add.  We are also focusing on sourcing gaming accessories and gaming systems from the top brands.  Beyond gaming, we are working on sourcing top smart phone brands from legitimate distributors.

There's also been a lot of debate about accepting other payment methods.  I'd like to stay true to crypto if at all possible.  I've been in talks with ShapeShift so we can accept other currencies, but it will  e some time before we can implement it.

Thank you.  We have dedicated ad budgets for Facebook, BitTorrent, and CoinMarketCap right now.  We need to grow some before we cqn add dedicate any additional budgets, but will be working with Blockchain.info and CoinDesk soon (we hope).

I will continue to post our daily deals (actually weekly, for now) to update the forum of our new products on sale, and to respond to feedback and answer questions here.  Hopefully, over time, we can build a high level of trust in the community.  That's our aim.

Funny you say that, one of the biggest updates we need to make is to identify which games are Steam, Uplay, Battle.net, etc.  I'm working on that myself this weekend.  I'll also be posting a cool Pikachu console skin.

By the way, what do you think of the Pokémon hoodie?  I think the retro 8-bit look is cool.  I'm thinking about getting one for myself!

I think you should have some promoting program to increase the number of visitors to your site and gain more trust. However, it is not very diverse, maybe it is because you focus to much on things related to computer and games. You have to add more stuffs like fashion clothes, shoes, luxury, etc. It may attract a lot of women as we all know women make path, men will follow.
