Hi everybody, please help me to decide which organization to fund with 0.197 BTC that I had via last month sig ad. All betcoin.ag signature campaign participants have been told by a member of this forum that keeping the sig ad would have brought to a negative feedback. We should put our money where our mouth is, if you ask me. So here am I asking you to help me share funds received from betcoin. http://seansoutpost.com Pensacola Homeless Outreach…fueled by Bitcoin. thewaterproject.com The Water Project is unlocking human potential by providing sustainable water projects to communities in sub-Saharan Africa who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation. Access to water unlocks potential. It removes obstacles that hinder a community from growing itself out of poverty. www.songsoflove.org The Songs of Love Foundation is a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that creates free personalized original songs to uplift children and teens currently facing tough medical physical or emotional challenges. Each CD is professionally produced with lyrics containing the child's name and references to all of his or her favorite activities things people and pets. Songs are written and performed in any language in the musical style that the child likes best by a variety of talented professionals. Watsi.org Watsi is a global crowdfunding platform for healthcare that enables anyone to donate as little as $5 to directly fund life-changing medical care for people in need. 100% of every donation funds medical care and we are dedicated to complete transparency. TunaPanda Tunapanda Institute does digital era vocational skill training in low-income parts of East Africa. The organization focuses on skills like web design computer programming and video editing that can help people earn an income improve their communities and engage in meaningful self-expression. They deploy computer networks using open source software and free (libre) educational video content. Please vote the one you really want to see funded. I am going to post TX ID when poll ends and I release funds. Thank you

Thank you
Send me a PM when you do, if you send the funds to a published donation address -- I'll match your donation to which ever one you pick

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

I did not want to make votes visible so that everybody would vote by having an idea of what they were voting for. So I opened up the results. Since now everybody can see votes, i would personally like to fund Sean's outpost especially after this news http://www.pnj.com/story/news/local/2016/04/03/seans-outpost-homeless-shelter-threatened-city/82389850/As you can see no one gives a shit about this thread, it's way more cool to post one's address to get 1000 BTC giveway. So sad.

Hi man, thanks for your message. I solved the poll thing. However, sorry to say but, being scammed is something that happens to those who are looking for easy money. My money will go to the people who are at the edge of a difficult life. This is what donations are for

It is undoubtedly amazing idea to support those in need. But I have very unpleasant experiences with bitcoin powered donations. When I see bitcoin + charity in once sentence I can't shake thought that it is scam - because I've seen so many charity startups and project created to take advantage of gullible people.
I am not familiar with these organizations you want support. But you have to be absolutely sure that your money will be used to fuel a good cause.

You shouldn't blame them for being human. Greed and self interest are innate to us all. Be careful though, a lot of bitcoin charities are scams too. Do your due diligence, and if you find a worthy cause, pm me. I will donate 100mbtc. However, as much as I admire your gesture, donate your coins only because you want to and not because of someone else's moral compass. You earned them honestly.

I hope I've selected 5 good projects. We cane never be 100% sure of what we fund but in the end it's always good to start doing something. I don't think all charities that accept bitcoin are scam. Can you provide me some examples? My plan was to fund Sean's Outpost from the beginning, after doing some research I landed here http://bitcoinforcharity.com/bitcoin-charity-list/

Thewaterproject looks to me as the most reliable one. By the way, there are also funds that help elderly people who need help and have no home, for example. They are often underfinanced. Check it out if interested.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1618616.msg16277498#msg16277498As you guys can see someone (or a group of people, organization etc we don't know) donated 38BTC to the Water Project which was on the list I provided some time ago. I am happy to see there's a real flow of BTC towards these organizations. Much happy

Really very happy to see that many are donating their btc to organizations, home for aged, water project and so on. Want to be a part of it. Work hard and earn btc first. Will be in touch with this thread always and provide as much as i can.

I still believe that it was single act of kindness and we won't see much of anymore soon. Why? Because: 1. People are donating mainly to feel better and show off how amazing they are - with silent and relatively anonymous bitcoin donation no one will know about this. 2. There is a problem with credibility of pretty much every charity - I have problem with their money management, plus bitcoin powered charity could turn out to be scam even more easily.

the electronic frontier foundation isn't getting any love? they're doing a very important job trying to keep things open. there are one hell of a lot of people who want to take your internet freedoms away. there ain't too many people out there who are there to defend it. the eff is one of the few.

There will be some coins for them as well don't worry: it's just a matter of time. I donated fiat money to the EFF long ago when I discovered the HTTPS everywhere plugin which improved my "surfing" experience. Maybe we need a good thread where all these organization gather to explain how they use funds, what they do etc. That'll be a good step forward.
