I've never heard the term 'web 2.0' uttered by *anybody* who didn't work in marketing.  It's meaningless.

For something to succeed it has to either do something new that people want (like bitcoin) or do something better than the existing methods (like twitter).  User friendliness doesn't have a lot to do with it, really.. people will cope with a lot of crap when the alternative is worse.  That *will* come to bitcoin, btw.  Someone will write a friendly client.. there's no company here to direct it and absolutely no contradiction with this forum concentrating on the technical details whilst someone currently unknown goes off and makes the killer UI.

You really have no idea what your talking about. You are arguing with an industry expert here bud.

"The term Web 2.0 is associated with web applications that facilitate participatory information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design,[1] and collaboration on the World Wide Web. A Web 2.0 site allows users to interact and collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as creators (prosumers) of user-generated content in a virtual community, in contrast to websites where users (consumers) are limited to the passive viewing of content that was created for them. Examples of Web 2.0 include social networking sites, blogs, wikis, video sharing sites, hosted services, web applications, mashups and folksonomies."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0

When I use the word web2.0, I mean EXACTLY what it means on wiki.. Forums by nature are not web2.0, unless you do many mods, and even then, they stink, because they are not properly connected, designed, and/or tested.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Thx for the correction btw, I knew that but I didn't think I needed 12th grade grammer on a quick web forum replys.

Why not?  GrammAr is always important, as is spelling.  If you think it's below you, then you're doing a disservice to the people reading your posts.
That's true Rob, the "txting" revolution has gotten the best of me! Didn't you hear all the cool kids are doing it!   Cool

Which is sooo 1998... AOL Homepages? Geocities? yea those were all web 2.0, how about you advertise some early web 3.0 stuff? but I highly doubt you could compare with zombo.com, the first true web 3.0 offering.

also, forums by their very nature are PURELY web 2.0 if you are an 'industry expert' the industry you work for needs their money back.

Not when their boxed into a tight community of people. Sure in essence it's web 2.0, but its still confined to its own system. What I did is I plugged everything in. Now there is still alot of work to do, but I think I have something really unique, that of course all of you are going to hate on me for, for simply not thinking about it yourselves ;p lol. It's the facebook effect: hate on everything you could have done but didn't think of yourself!

Look at my number 1 competitor btw lol... this would have been spam http://tweetsocial.com - #1 - in google.

I do web design,internet-marketing, seo, pc repairs, and coding. I am preatty much a do it all kind of person. But still learning, and forever will be. I am not claiming superiority to anyone, I just work 24/7 and know where I am going in life. Bitcoins are obviously going to be a major part of my future, and everything that I am planning in the future as far as businesses go, will involve them as a funding source..

Have you been to my forum yet? I dont think you have.... I have programmed different feeds, including new music/videos/movies and content from all over the internet. Everything is categorized neatly, and guaranteed to be up to date, and all replys, and posts are tweeted to thousands of users subscribing to me now, over several hundred accounts. Most of the people in my forum don't POST. They simply come in to read the content, that you seem to think I dont have sir.

EDIT: You might wana check this post, and see what led me to post my site before you continue. I went to the 131 bit coin post for new businesses , to see if they were still offering that program to new businesses. Aparently their not, but I got into a very interesting discussion with bitcoinminer, and what he told me was true. Why keep your business a secret if it can help bitcoins in the long run?   http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=4667.msg202154#msg202154

Now while hes right about that, you folks can't simply expect me to just pound bitcoins without pushing anything to my site for all my time and work? Thats preatty damn selfish if you ask me. You wan't me to make a post saying I am supporting bitcoins on my site, yet you don't want me to post the link to the site? Does the word forum simply turn you guys off that much?

This strikes me as being at odds with the goal of having a higher quality of posts.

By the way, no one here hates you because you have some magic brilliance that let you think of it first.  We aren't jealous.  We just find you very annoying.  Also, I sorta suspect that a decent minority of us don't give a f*ck about facebook, myspace or twitter.

Then alot of people in here are dinosaurs if they dont give a "f*ck" about a new social medium that is changing the world as we know it. Tunisia, Egypt, and now Libya have all been possible because of the social media technology that you so gleefully mock. It may seem like a joke to you, but it is changing lives right now as we speak. TweetForum is only getting better, bitcoins are only getting better, and so is all the social media carrying these things. I first heard about bitcoin through "f*cking" twitter, as I am sure many people here did. Kinda funny that you mock something that is now assisting you to make money. Twitter= Exposure , Exposure of Bitcoin= Money in your pocket. Ironically enough it's all sad but true that I work for you..

"Not when they're boxed into a tight community of people."

It's not hard, just re-read your post before hitting "Post" and see if you can replace "they are" with "their", then do it, please.  If you really are in marketing, you should at least be versed in the English language.

I didn't mock it.  I said I didn't give a f*ck about it.  Huge difference.

Good luck with your new thing.  Hope it works out.  Also sorta hope you come off as less of a tool to any new people that discover you/us through it.

I wish you would go back and look at who started it. People should not attack things they know nothing about. I am generally a very, very nice person, but when I see people attacking my year’s worth of work, I'm sorry it hurts bro, especially when I am doing it in good faith for the community(and of course I hope to make some to, I’m not here to lie about profit motives, that’s what we’re ALL HERE FOR). I admit it may have looked REALLY bad at first, that’s probably why everyone had, a natural reaction to call it spam. I apologize for setting off the storm, but I just think it was important for everyone to know what exactly I was offering to the community. I take my role here very seriously and would never want to be classified as a spammer/scammer. I work to damn hard every day with little or no help, just to have to hear from random people that my shit is worthless. I know that 99 percent of people out there put up crap forums in 5 minutes and call it a site. People who have no PC knowledge what so ever, but I promise you sir, that this is not the case with tweetforum. Once again I apologize if you think I am a “tool” because of the way I reacted, but me being a tool couldn’t be father from the truth, because I try to be as benevolent as possible in RL.

Thank you for your wishes bro.

99% of all forums I have participated in would at least suspend if not insta-ban you for advertising ANOTHER forum.  This is regardless of the merits of your venture - you are attempting to siphon traffic away from this site, and don't expect people to be annoyed?   Shocked
TweetForum is not a regular forum sir...

Here is just a preview of whats ahead of tweetforum. Trust me I dont need bitcoin.org for exposure... I thought I was helping the community by integrating it in my site...

This is just a small part of my list and growing every day. Haven't even ventured to facebook/myspace yet which is on my next plans. My vision is to deliver content to everyone, specifically what they want, and how they want it. People can easily integrate with the forum with their social media accounts, and connect with people that only they deal with. +Tweetforum also integrates news feeds with each post, so every post is completely up to date with current invents. Calling tweet forum "just a forum" is an insult to my work and creativity. I am not scamming off bitcoins, I need a leader head so I can feed it MY TRAFFIC.
