How do I go ahead and hold my Alt-Coins on a wallet or something? Anyone know of good wallets to use for alt coins?

Yes, keep it in the alt-coins wallet, and backup each wallet.

Download all the wallets for that respective altcoin. Sync the blockchain in your computer. Send your coins to your wallets for safe storage. Back up your wallets if possible every week or every time you create a new input address.

The most important file on any altcoin wallet is the wallet.dat be sure to never delete this file,once you delete it all your coins are gone forever always back it up on the first day and again when you are going to transfer your files to other computer..
