Yes you can use small amounts to gamble, I almost do this every time because its easy and also nice to do it on that way because of the fact that I'm trying to make profit with it.

Those wise gamblers are using this and this is also what I'm doing because I don't want to risk bigger amount with gambling, its either small amount or don't gamble at all.

That is exactly happening at the beginning of gambling with almost every person, this is very hard decision when anyone get himself on winning streak than our mind get more greedy and encourage us to keep on playing because we had this kind of thinking that is our lucky day, but you are right self control is they key and we learned this lesson after losing a lot there, so better always play just for fun there.

It will depend your luck, you are being lucky at this time, because you are making good profit with a low amount of satoshis (as you are saying), but surely if you use a bigger bankroll, your chance to earn money will be higher also, because you will have more chances to make more bets. You are also referring to me, because that's how I gamble. Every time I win, I get excited and even though I bet small amount only still that's what I do. And most of the time 0.001 BTC is what I gamble and this is some kind of acceptable amount to all gambling sites and affordable whenever I lose.

Honestly in my opinion they are not always making a good profit in gambling because there is sometimes  that they can be lost a lot.. they are just keep coming back to gamble if they are win yesterday they can not win again tomorrow.. unless if he is gamble in skill base games like sports betting..
