Its actually a very interesting topic.
You have Millions of dollars in Bitcoin, but they are stolen.
How do you get the money?

When asked about the $1 Million in Bitcoin he hacked from PrimeDice the hacker said-

TheBitcoinStrip.com: So how do you cash out $1 million (more now) of "stolen" Bitcoins?

HufflePuff: Simple. You don't.

https://thebitcoinstrip.com/blog/interview-with-a-bitcoin-hacker.html

Certainly there is some way to spend these coins, though.
Not every single store, website, exchange is going to blacklist these coins, so there must be some way to convert them to cash/ goods.
Most money laundering operations charge 20-50% to convert your cash. Are there any similar methods for digital currencies?

You cannot simply spend $1 Million on some online store that accepts bitcoins. Also the authorities will ask for your information from the store you purchased an item from.

Exactly.
But there has to be a way to get some of the Bitcoins spent or transferred to another form of currency.
Hackers wouldn't be working so hard to attack exchanges/ online wallets/ gambling sites if they didn't have a way to spend the money.
Some do it for the LOLZ but most are in it for the profit$.

What do you think guys about the funds from bitfinex do you think they already sell those bitcoin in the other market.? thats why the price of bitcoin is down or thats why the price of bitcoin is down its because they already seen the news about hacking bitfinex? an many people saw this news and sell their bitcoin thats why the price of bitcoin is down?
Maybe they can sell some but not at all they can store all remaining in a safe one. So i think why the price of bitcoin down becuase it affected all the investor some are panic selling to their bitcoin when they read about hacking in bitfinex.

Yeah this is what i think and i think they are just holding some and waiting for more price increase to get more profit.. they can not spend all their hack from bitfinex since its a large amount of bitcoin and he is big time hacker right now..

I find it hard that all the bitcoins are already converted. The hackers are cautious but honestly I think the hack was an inside job or something where bitfinex are too blame. They surely can't go away freely, since the wallets are extra secure with multisignature. And that smells, it's fishy and the guy behind the hack will wait for the price to go up and dump it.

I think they still sell it. whoever they are, they are very powerful and clever. perhaps, they have sold a few of the BTC to do it slowly so that the transaction is not known. Well, if I was them, maybe when I'm relaxing, because with bitcoin that much, I think it would make a person rich

if they were sold we would have heard about it. but i dont really think it matters if they are sold or not. the money was still stolen and is still worth something even though its tainted. the hacker is probably using it as an investment.

I don't think even they were sold no one is going to publish that either. Because I think no one can trace the bitcoins that was hacked with bitfinex.

And the hacker would just probably used an hardware wallet or a coin mixing services just for him to be not be tracked by any doxer.

For sure he is really enjoying that money already.

i think yes they are going to sell it part by part or bitcoin by bitcoin to any exchange website and they can't sell it into huge market place because if they really hacked it they the owner of that website are going to chase them definitely Smiley but im sure that they are planning something big those hackers.

but i will never like to be in them, how can take the money of another person, i think it is very injustices  and no religion or society can give permission for that, and hope that one day they will be catch by the government,

The people who are stealing bitcoins are only holding them becuase the price is not what they want they want to make the most money from their stolen bitcoins you know
and when they are selling them right now they are not making allot.
