Some things need to be considered with Ethereum : this is the most irrational crypto-currency on exchange platforms and it has the branding. I don't see any reason why parity would be reached, except in ETH sinking to ETC level.

It depends on the popularity and if there are service providers behind. If there are no service, it is similar to death.

Whale/whales tried to pump it with the motto "ETC is the new ETH" , some people fell for this  scam, some didn't. It's unclear wether their pump was succesful or not, it's very possible that honest holders left ETC before the whales, assuming they were expecting higher prices. If that was the case, it's probably the biggest failed whale pump in the history of crypto, they lost alot of money.

Yes that is because the hype is already over. Then ones dumping now are the late comers. The clever ones have already made their money and are looking at other coins to pump.
