Upon the initial sync, bitcoin-qt does not sync, it downloads/process/verifies/whatever 50 or so blocks and then stops for no reason at all. The icon on the bottom writes that there are 8 connections, the icon next to it says "catching up blah blah" but the syncing does not continue on to the next block. In task manager there is no cpu activity for the bitcoin-qt process and no disk activity either, memory is at 149mb. I run it straight for 3 days now, but when it gets stuck it does not process any block.
If I exit and restart the bitcoin-qt it continues for another 50-100 blocks and then stops again. No matter how many times I have done this, it always get stuck.
Another problem is that it takes 4-5 minutes to exit the program and another 4-5 minutes to open it.
Why does it stop syncing and why does it need so much time to open/close the application?
Well now I have a bigger problem... After moving the directory to another folder location as per
this guide, bitcoin-qt doesn't even open. Here's the last debug log:
