Actually it is worth for some time, just relieve some stress on it might be a good thing but if your friend already owes you money, he is already addicted and can't get away from gambling anymore. Everyone sure need to get some profit though but to lend some money from other people with some interest in it i dont think that is still worth to play since you play for covering your owes not to get some profit for yourselves

In this kind of scenario, I think gambling is not worth playing.  Reason is that, not only he is harming himself by spending all his money and gambling, he is also making other uncomfortable.  He can't control himself to the point of using others money to satisfy his vices.  This should be controlled or else it will get worst and may lead to gambling addiction.

 Its just a waste of time in the end, nobody made profit with gambling. Everyone who won something, they returned that in casino and plus something extra. Its always like that with most of the players, they are always in little minus after 10 years of playing, and others just constantly lose.
