With everything that's going on, what's your opinion on the state of crypto at this moment in time?

Are we going backwards because of all the incidents over the last few weeks, forwards (some people say that there's no such thing as bad publicity), or has nothing changed in your opinion?

The ultimate goal of this industry is the general public using crypto services in the same way they use the internet.

Do you think we're any closer to that goal, or even further away now?

If you ask me, my opinion is it is very normal. Grin We have seen this happen many times before and it will come as no surprise if it will happen again tomorrow. The most shocking happening for me that occurred in the cryptosphere was the MtGox news. It was shocking and at the same time disappointing. I remember I was thinking that it was the time that bitcoin has come. But it was not. Millions were stolen from the Gox users and the price fell from the all time high. It was also a time where the mainstream media was covering bitcoin and ended with the Gox fraud. It was a very embarrassing time for me.

Check the comments. Looks like the thief is hosting a lottery on Reddit for 1000BTC to a random entrant

Silly, if true, because this might be their Achilles heel. I doubt it's true. They couldn't be that silly, could they?
