Anyone who downloads this fake BFXCoin wallet will be infected with some malware. Particularly exchange users need to be very careful with these emails, as they may become subject to keylogging. While this is an obviously failed attempt to scam users, there will be some people who click these links regardless.

the bigger question is how the markets will respond. It is not unlikely Bitfinex will lose a lot of users due to this hack. Moreover, there are concerns over when and how the company will repay its users. With so many funds missing, that process will take a lot of time to complete. But if people leave the platform, less money will be made by the exchange. That will only lengthen the repayment process in the long run.
