I May get one or two for my home PC's to replace out dated cards, I'm cheap that way i don't need the biggest baddest thing out there to play WoW aka World of Warcraft, which i still play even @ age  60
Smiley  . but at  2 gb on board, I'm sure i won't use one for anything but gaming and wait see what others test 460 out as for mining .......

Yeah, also it's 128 bit so hashing will be pretty low.

If you want to mine Ethereum, do not buy it. It has only 128 bit memory bus. It is pretty useless for ETH.

it's good for low budget rig, not everyone has 10k to throw at mining, it's bad because it mine etheruem only at good rate, unless you have private stuff

Found this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202227

Its the 4 gb version and says 7000 mhz effective clock for the memory, so we could get 24 mh out of that possible.

$140 price and lower watts sounds great IF it will hash eth/etc and the clones at 24mh or somewhere near that.  That would be $90 cheaper than the RX 480 nitro 4gb card ($230) so it will actually roi in a reasonable amount of time.

Then again it is 128 bit so hashing might be a bit sucky.

I ordered one up - I also have 2 RX 470's coming this week (4G and 8G versions), so I'll see how they all compare...

Until somebody tries it out we won't know the exact hashrate.

Who knows it might get 20MH/s

I'm confident the RX 460 will be profitable in hash to wattage. But realistically it is only worth mining if you are buying it for your regular computers to be put to work when you are not using it.

Making rigs out of these would not be efficient in terms of hash power per motherboard, CPU, PSU, RAM, HDD, etc.

I have a few avaliable at local stores but I'm not sure if it's worth buying, if it gets 20MH/s I would be really suprised, it means it's the new king of dagger-hashimoto.

If you compare it to the R7 360 it has near identical specs pretty much. My guess is it will be around 10MH/s.

Please update with specs when availiable.

I would upgrade my main daily driver PC that pretty much runs 24/7 if this is worth while.

I think the 460 will hash around 10 to 12 MH/s at the stock frequency. It has 128 bit memory bandwidth.
