It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Out of three hundred, how many? I'm not going to add the 5 or 10 outstanding ASICs to the model - that inaccuracy is tiny compared to the other assumptions 've had to make.

I agree.   I can personally confirmed just about 100 through public and private disclosures.   And we have to assume that not everyone is going public and the hashrates doesn't lie.

Seems rather conservative, my calculations suggested more 60,000,000 difficulty by June/July. But then Avalon and BFL aren't shipping as quick as they claimed either.
