Like i said before, there were only three options as to how this would end.
It seams the second one happened - The 1000 bitcoins ended up being sent to OP's alt account. Like someone previously nicely stated "moved from left pocket to right pocket"

Yes right but what was the reason behind this ? Why he did all these things and then transferred 1000 BTC to his own alt bitcoin address.
What advantage did he got from all this ? Just making fun and wasting time of many of us.

it was too good to be true from the beginning that this all began. If someone was really committed with the community then he should share the amount equal in more prices. It was also more fair if he would use randompicker instead of publishing only winners adress. Anyway time to move on this joked get way to much attention.

Yes, that is a probable and very logical theory and the most interesting one yet.

Why does this bfxhacker drop hints? I am guessing he is having some fun while laundering the money? Tongue

I am guessing he allowed a hack, and motivated the mods to lock the thread so I can't edit my address off that thread?

So you're telling me i'm about to receive part of the shitstorm of cash from bfxhacker, and so will others here ? - I can't wait to see it !!
I know that would make him launder portion of funds, but for many of us, the idea of receiving such part of funds is the stuff of fantasy..

Whatever the case, this "from left pocket to right pocket" giveaway left me quite down.. I was hoping to atleast gram something small
.. sighs..

If you had got a 100BTC, the community would be having a hard time believing you are not the hacker. Your fantasy? Grin

I was referring to reddit thread linked above in quotes. It was talking about a scenario where the hacker would distribute 120 000 coins
over 7000ish addresses that participated in this. That would give each entry address about ~17 bitcoins.

Being all distributed equally , no one would be the wiser. Both hacker and others would disappear in the crowd, and each man would look
as guilty as the next one.

What do you think? Some random person on reddit got the money. It is also quite possible or likely that they were the person who's giving out the money themselves. It was unrealistic to truly think there's a decent chance to receive half a million dollars for no apparent reason. I did post an address as well though, but mostly forgot about it afterwards.

You need to read up on the details of this further. There was no reason to split it up as it was likely not legit in the first place. The story is over anyways. We are likely not going to hear from neither the OP nor the winner again (or at least not for a while).

This was a scam from a artist in his craft from the very start.
Who in their right mind would believe that they would receive 1k in bitcoins or even 10 bitcoin for nothing. Roll Eyes
There is a bounty from bitfinex for the one that can bring in the one who sold those bitcoins from them.

Haven't you all heard a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush? Nobody is getting anything from this, unless there in a sig campaign, and that's the only way anybody is gonna get any amount of coins. Logic shows what type of person they are. The human is smart. The more in a collective, the dumber they become.

Keep up, he was asked to provide a signed message to distinguish him from the various scammers imitating his identity. This thread is his response. Putting "signed message" in the title is kind of an obvious thing to do in that circumstance.

As for the thousand bitcoins, they're gone. Bye bye. Game over. Better luck next time  Wink
