Some days ago a man wants  to buy my account but i didnt sell my account .My question is if i didnt sell him . Can he do any harm to my account

He obviously cannot do any harms to your account if you were not willing to sell it at all, maybe he can give you a negative trust without any reason but i'm not sure if such negative trusts are counted or not because i'm not totally aware of how trust method works.

If the guy is an asshole he can reveal the account is up for sale an ask someone lke cryptodevil who is against buy and sell account to give it a negative but I don't think he will do it because that will also mean he can get a negative. If you have not provided anyone the details of your account they can't do anything to it.

A seller should never give any information about his account to the buyer and should just give him the link that price estimator generates, and he should only give the details to the escrow they are going to use for the deal, in that way the buyer would never be able to do anything.

Thats the wisest thing to do , never ever reveal the account details to the buyer so that he couldnt do anything into or any other people who are like to put negative trust to for sale accounts which is  injustice sometimes,im not saying im in favor of selling but  the  intention of making the account useless  because of those putting negative trust.

I don't like that selling of accounts is allowed. Yes, there are also allowed to promote ponzi schemes and it is worse thing. But for promoting ponzis users getting negative trust, I think same should be with account sellers. Because we don't know who can hide under sold account.

It seems to be getting people ever more riled but it isn't banned and I don't know how they would ban it. I suppose one of the more straightforward ways would be to negative trust the escrows who'd quickly abandon it. Even if they did that account selling would move to another forum.

No, it's not giving any harness for your account, because he just having an intention for buying your account and you don't want to sell it and after it is finished. never worried about that.

There is actually no rule for not selling the accounts of this forum that is the reason why people trade accounts most of the times, so if there is no such rule mentioned in the list of rules then also no staff member can flag them with negative trust for doing it.

It is not a ban reason but the forum community doesn't like the action. Because those purchased accounts are usually being used to scam other people. Admins don't ban it because they have too much work and chasing account buyers is a bottomless pit. They don't wanna waste resources on that.

Correct, theres no such rule that selling accounts is prohibited in this forum thats why the market still goes on with selling of those account which some see it as an andvantage especially to  bad guys out there using it  for scam purposes but some people would  purchase to  so that  they can  easily join with the campaigns.

I don't think there is a basis on this statement because the number of those who were caught using someones account to scam other people is not that much compared to those who will buy accounts just to join a signature campaign, although I don't have the number to prove it too but buying accounts is more likely to join signature campaigns. A small percentage "maybe" to scam people.

It is prohibited also for the buyers its because you never know that the account you have bought is a faulty product which is came from hack, defaulted loan or anything bad you can imagine thats why buying and selling accounts are strongly been discouraged by mod so people would not be compromise from the risk behiding on those one, So better think twice on dealing on accounts because the money you used from buying it will never be retrieve anymore if the real owner will come to get it back or tag it with red trust.

Thats why buyer are responsible on their action whatever possible things might happen. If you really  want to buy an account make sure to ask the most important details or things  to consider before buying, as he said  be sure that its has no negative trust , doesnt have a loan or any problems involved with that account.

I have always been amazed that such a process takes place here.  I guess I can understand both sides of this controversy.  When I sold my business the buyer gained the complete reputation that I had earned over a long period of time.  In fact that is a large part of why the buyer wanted it.  Reputation can mean everything to a potential customer.  No different here, except that we operate in a world of anonymity sometimes.
However there are some differences her in bitcointalk with real world when it comes to selling online accounts. One difference is in real world people can sue if they are scammed easier than here. So here scammer buyers are accounts have more ability to scam. Although we should know that old accounts or accounts with some positive feedbacks does not necessarily show trust!!

That's right, maybe will be better for listing or adding this rule in your mind "for selling your account for someone you will always need to seeing or searching the history of your buyer" because it's will not inflict a financial loss for a lot of people.

It is true, we must be vigilant in the presence of fraud, and if you want to sell your account it will be good to sell or your friend who wants to dive into the world of the bitcoin
That's right, maybe will be better for listing or adding this rule in your mind "for selling your account for someone you will always need to seeing or searching the history of your buyer" because it's will not inflict a financial loss for a lot of people.
Maybe adding a feature to profile in which history of addresses can be shown diminish some types of scams.

I think it depends upon the user on how they avoid scam.. you will get scam if you trust a wrong guy, that's why escrowed services appeared in this forum to avoid scammers.
So what is the point on giving red trust to the seller or buyer of account? All users have the right to sell their account because they put a lot of effort just to acquire high rank. and there is no rules regarding this matter.

It is simple , you will not be scam if you just avoid scammer. always use trusted escrow on every transaction you will made to any user in this forum

It is not a ban reason but the forum community doesn't like the action. Because those purchased accounts are usually being used to scam other people. Admins don't ban it because they have too much work and chasing account buyers is a bottomless pit. They don't wanna waste resources on that.

Still, If those bought accounts do a business, the person who does business with the owner of that bought account will most likely to think that he is doing business with the old owner. He is trusting the old owner who raised that account to that level. (I assume the account sold without notice of any forum members. If he gets caught while selling his account, forum polices will put a note on the account.) That's disturbing to me. You may not get scammed every time you do business with a bought account but the probabilities are high.

I know it is allowed to sell bitcointalk account. And even the mods are going to ban selling of account here in forum. The sellers and buyers are going to do something about it. I have saw some transactions in facebook that some people there are looking for an account here in forum and as well as some buyers are there too.
