it's 400k satoshi per day with a single 1070, 0.12 per month so roi is around 7 months, 210 days, not certainly 350 days
Maybe it will be a lot more in upcoming dualmining, since Nvidia is pretty good on Sia and Decred. I only hope that it will not put too much load on gpu. I',m getting some weird coil whine in the end of a mining day. yeah i calculated an additional 150k satoshi if you mine with decred and sia, but the consumption is also higher

https://dwarfpool.com/eth+ http://karldiab.com/EthereumMiningCalculator/these, real calculators tella whole different story. If you add that with merged mining the power consumption it's almost equal to the TDP rate, there goes the efficiency, and with it the 1070 better ratios against a RX480. What are your calculations? Please don' t tell me whattomine.. funny thing is that your calculator is equal to whatomine, $490 usd per month with both, 490/7(my numbers of 1070) = $70 a month =0.12, like i said.... whatomine is pretty accurate i tried it many time while mining neos i did not count power in this, but at 80w you just need to remove 0.02 per card, so net is 0.1, 8 months max, no way this can be 12 months like you said dual mining should be enough to overcome the profit loss due to the power usage

A month ago, last time I checked eth, whattomine wasn't using the frontier style difficulty. If it's changed good for them, not for the 1070 owners. You can find the earnings a couple of posts before. No, you're wrong. You can clearly see that it's still using the old difficulty, not the frontier one. 59,393xx. The actual it's 71xx https://www.whattomine.com/coins/151-eth-ethash

Amph, no offense but I see that you tend to be a bit off with reality in your statements. Nothing personal but let's make some fact checking:
1) the math is there, if you're right with your calculations I donate you 0.025 BTC right now. Proove me wrong please, with real data with the same settings (29MH 1.89 bucks with a 1070 on eth) 2) a gtx 1070 in real, and not vat players shops with REAL availability it's 445 eur, custom ones 460/480 very good ones if not 500.
I could say that I' m a bit experienced in that, I own 31 of them, and 6 to 7 different kinds.. I cannot even remember how many..
Do you agree with these calculations?

Try claymores dualminer with siacoin. (1070)
use -dcri 64. Then you earn around $3 per card (29mhash+700MHASH). $2 on etherum classic and $1 on sia coin. My undervolted 390's are bether though. 180 Watt for 27+550MHASH. Picked them up on a bulk sale for less than $250

indeed, 390's (tonga, not tahiti chip) undervolted are the best option with the old gen cards, on dagger hashimoto
The main issue is profitability on nvidia side. We should add that a gtx 970 it's still 21MH/s, more or less, so 29 for a 1070 it's almost in line with the expectation. In all honesty I would have hoped for 33/34 stock for a 1070 and 39/40 for a reference 1080, but as all the other things in life, there are parameters that will tear apart your speculations.
ps: thank you sp for the infos

Except that a 1070 can do 37 MH/s on Hashimoto. I was at the beggining only on Linux, but a long time ago Amph told me that it will be porte to Windows soon, and I guess that now it is done.

palit is at 420 euro on some shop, just check it, palit is a good bet right now for the 1070 so i fail to see why you need to spedn 500 euro one like i said is doing 400k satoshi per day, then you need to remove consumption, but if you dual mine, the added hash will make it for the consumption at this point it's like mining etheruem only with free electricity, roi can not be 1 year ever, so no i don't agree, at worse 8 months Try claymores dualminer with siacoin. (1070)

$3 per card is exactly what i'm saying, it's 0.00550 satoshi with a single 1070, my math was right since the beginning

how much on the 1070, $5 is really good, based on this i can expect a 1070 to do almost $4 which would put it like lbry remember that i donate to you for the spreadminer

why don't you try the latest version and find the optimal -x value for me. I am currently tuning for the 960M.

-x 30 is the best, look the memory usage is very unstable resulting in an unstable wattage

Thanks. Thats around 4 times faster than an 380x with the opencl opensource kernal. The 1080 does 10MHASH. I will recompile with cuda 8.0 and compute 6.1 and send to the donators.

yeah and you can tweak it to the unbelievable level of 80-90w for 30MH, just decrease the core and the power limit and increase the mem
no other card can match this result at the moment, i'm still laughing at those saying that 1070 was trash in etheruem...
Give me a few more days and i'll probably be able to do 30+Mh on my 480 at 100watt if not less. And that for almost half the price ;-)

So it's 700 MH/s for Siacoin while dual mining with the GTX 1070. Is it the same with Decred?
