Who do I contact to recover my account? It was hacked, my email changed, and now someone's trying to reset all of my BTC related account passwords.

How do I fix this?

There's a sticky in meta board for recovering account. Follow the instructions there.

Well shit....that's ridiculous you need that much information.

Why can't they just confirm that my email address was the one it was registered with...

That's not a lot of information. It takes less than a minute to verify your identity, and this would be the best way for security purposes. Unless someone buys/takes your private key, you're solid on verification.

Emails are more likely to be breached than private keys. A lot more likely.

I haven't posted any addresses...why would I post a public address? And since I no longer have access to my PMs, I don't know what addresses I used there. So yeah, it is a lot. Also my email has F2A, so probably less likely to be breached than my private keys.

I think he's talking about his alt wormat22. Which just got caught faking a trade from some months ago.

There have been cases where accounts have been sold and then allegations made that it was hacked.
So blanket restoration really doesn't happen.
Even more so if you can't prove that you were the original owner using a signed message.
