What gives Altcoins value and make traders trade in them?

Hello guys,

I'm new in trading and I've some issues that i didn't understand yet.

1st : What gives Altcoins value and make traders trade in them? Is the company of an altcoin invent it and start mining and put the coin in trading sites and that's all or what? no real investments and trading in real life?

2nd : People say buy when price is low and sell when high, so why don't smart traders buy very big amont when price is low and sell when high and earn lots of money? for example, buying a coin with 10 BTC amount and sell when price up 15% = earning 900$ !

3rd : How to trade in altcoins with knowledge of when the price will get low or high? I started trading with small amounts but i'm like buying and selling with just "Guessing". I mean in real life, country's economy and Imports/Exports control in its coin value, so in Cryptocurrencies just trading "Buying/Selling" the coin control in its price or what?

#1 Altcoins get their value just because the "developers" behind them make you believe they serve a purpose, while they in reality don't really do as they are mostly gimmicks. Having that said, the far majority of the altcoins are bought or just copied/forked just to make some money as nowadays ICO's are the way to go for these people. This entire market is being driven by pumps and dumps which basically makes it a gamble to actually put money in it.

#2 Buy low and sell high is the most common way of trading, and believe me, large traders do exactly that with large quantities. Don't worry. The smaller traders just satisfy themselves with the crumbs left by whales.

#3 As I also mentioned in the first part, trading altcoins isn't really trading as I think it more belongs in the same category as gambling as people just buy in the hope the price goes up. All you need is luck, unless you have some insider information. Don't take the altcoin market too seriously. It's too messy for that.

The altcoin value comes from related projects , some altcoins can be used for gambling , some for shopping , and some alts have special features which is unavailable in other crypto coins , in additional , there are many reasons to buy some altcoins .
Trading altcoins is not easy if you do not have experience , you can not choose random coin to buy and wait until the price increases , because it might move down , also there are many coins have been created to rip users' Bitcoin and these coins have on bump then it will dumps forever .
There are also many factors , but the best thing you can do if you want to trade is following altcoin news and what other members say about it .

it is mostly hype that causes an altcoin to go up and to the moon and help traders make a lot of profit. and nothing else. if you were in cryptocurrency world a couple of months back when ethereum started to show up you would have understood what i mean completely.

in this case, the coin started mass advertising all over the internet and on every crypto channel they could find and since the dev and the owners own most of the coin themselves they could pump it from zero satosho to 0.03BTC price in no time and it has only stayed up this long because of the same reason hype even though it was hacked it is still alive because of it.

1) First Of all the price of Altcoin Gives Value to It Because If A new Altcoin Comes in Market and I am Sure that It Would Increase in Future.....
2) Then Big Traders Don't Buy Big amounts Nobody can Predict the Price Of Altcoin.......

1 Because the alt value is same with bitcoin, in means you can trade or sale alt coins into BTC and it's same means you're using btc. alt value is coming from the investment of their developer can pump into significant value they're want

2 It's just expectation because the smart traders think about the risk too because we are doing the trading and anythings can happen at any time because of that you need a backup.

3 buying and selling having relation to demand and just giving an effect for the price but not for controlling the price.

most of the altcoins that i trade are those that have a good future, a good dev and most important of all the community support.

and the price is only supply and demand and nothing else.

for that you will need a time machine to go to the future and see which price is low and which is high.
and by all means if you trust a project enough to invest $6000 in it and take the risk then invest and take the reward but only if you are willing to take that risk!!

it is not guessing, it is mostly speculation based on the analysis that you do in each market when seeing the history and also seeing the market and how people are reacting to it.

and yes in cryptocurrencies only buying and selling also known as supply and deman controls the price.

The developers first give a start value of these altcoins and limit the number of total coin to be distributed for everyone, then an ICO starts which the price of this coin goes higher after each phase then after a time(which developers tells when) the coin can be traded by everyone and starts to be listed in the exchanges, and at this stage it depends how many people are investing/interested to invest and the pump and dump can be seen at this stage.

If one person or whale or coin developer do this progressive buying than we consider it as manipulation and obviously this is done for quick pump and dump scheme. WHen one started to keep on buying own sell wall, volume will be keep on growing in cost of trading fee which will than get others attention and the one who start to buy above that well for some time. Whales will dump all he have which he bought at cheaper rate making him double or even trippled his initial investment within a day.

this is how market works.
there are always a lot of people in the market either buying or selling. you see a price and make a decision to for example buy right now. that price can be a high price in your opinion if you have bough lower but for someone coming in now is the start price of his position and as long as price goes up you both make profit.

Some times when you trade in altcoin the price control by the big investor who manipulate the price. Need knowledge to know how much it will increase and how investor and dev support the coin not going down, it's easy to say buy low sell high but need to know how much the price increase and decrease so you'll always buy the coin at cheapest price.

1) percieved proft potential. Functionality doesn't matter.

2) you can get trapped like this. The prices aren't based off any real metric except hype, unless the coin is mere satoshis, there is always room for downward price movement.

3) follow the hype cycles (monitor the news and the board/trollbox sentiment. This is what truly drives the price of these coins, along with blatant market manipulation because of small market caps.
