4GB should be fine, but 8GB is preferable. it the price difference is not so large, get the 8GB.

The power color is one fan or two fans?

I know the sapphire has two fans and cools well I have one.

I have the power color one fan model.

Basically all one fan 8gb rx 480s are about the same  get cheaper price.

I only have one two fan model it is the sapphire nitro it is good but costs more.

Let price be your guide. On all one fan 8gb models as they are close to a tie.

In comparing two fan to one fan or two fan to two fan models.  There is simply less info so no one has mentioned a killer two card model

Thanks for your reply, in my country power color red devil price lower price arround $15 than nitro 8gb, and power color have 3fan hope it's good for mining, i have contacted distributor in my country but power color red devil not yet avaible.

nitro can reach 29mhs ? or you have custom setting for more effisien, i just want to know more before buy it.

4GB is better for mining as it has less memory, so the power consumption is low. Most algorithms do not use 8GB.

Reselling value will be higher for 8GB version, gamers prefer more VRAM.

That is just due to the difference of the memory frequency. If you can make them to have the same memory frequency, the hash rate is the same.

Well I have build a 10er 480 rig (two rigs with 5x 480 on a $25 bucks Ikea "draggan cart"). Each rig gives me 120-125 MH/s ->24.xx something per card. The 10x 480 Rig is using ~1.450 -1500 Watts @ wall 240 MH/s -> almost 6-6.25 watts per MH/s.

Both hash nearly the same, as a 470 is just a 480 with a few things disabled here and there, resulting in slightly higher performance from the 480. 470s are a better choice most of the time, though, As they cost less and have both 4 and 8gb, just like the 480. Both cards see heavily price gouged, though, so try finding cheap ones Smiley

Both will have high resale though, but 8 will be better for reselling as games use more vram these days. One reason for the reselling hype is that radeon cards always have great support even longterm, and the current generation of cards looks to be the best value for the buck- not just for mining, but gaming Smiley

Those are 8GB cards @ 910 MHz chip and 2100 MHz Ram. I've got more than this rig, but with 240-250 mhs you should get with this difficulty around 1.3 Eth per day (or 9 Ether a week).

For mining Ethereum, the 480 is about 10% higher than the 470 RX. But the price is about 20% higher.

I got
10 x 480 8Gb Reference
and
6 x 470 4Gb Reference

480s @ 30.5Mhs
470s @ 27.5-28Mhs

The price difference between the 470 4Gb and 480 8Gb is around 117USD here where i live.
I bought the 480s early and if i had knew that the 470 4Gb could do 27-28Mhs easy i would have gone all in on 470s instead.

Hello Bro
How you get 27 MHS from 470 4GB, can you share your settings? how much power they are consume?
Thank you in advance

I know that @Altcoining, but we know which manufacturer and model are the RX470 4Gb that used @Cryptozillah because I have 2 Gigabyte G1 Gaming RX470 4Gb, and don´t get more of 26Mh/s..

The 480 reference can use more power than it is supposed to and melt power cables.

If you mine with OC' rx 480, I recommended 1 separate pcie power cable and 1 seperate molex power connnection to ATX power supply for each RX 480.
