If you would be able to get the full private key for one address for free... would you accept this offer?

No, because it would be a theft to spend someone else coins and I dont like the idea to spend my time in jail. Also if I would believe someone has the power to know private key to any Bitcoin address, I would spend all my Bitcoins immediately and never consider using Bitcoin again - fortunately it was just a hypothetical question from you instead.

In that case, if someone somehow figures that glitch out, the bitcoin's value will go down to zero, so it'd be useless to get the private key for any address. Stupid question as well as thread BTW.

1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF, duh!
Obviously, 3Nxwenay9Z8Lc9JBiywExpnEFiLp6Afp8v would be more desirable, but that is a multi-sig address, so a single private key is probably not enough.

Mr C Wright would pay you in dog biscuits for one of satoshi's private key's after all he is in debt so cant pay you anything else,
the australian gov are after him and the only way to avoid jail time is to have the private key to use as evidence for a reasonable doubt defense that the pile of PUBLIC keys he fraudulently used as a trust collateral was his, so having atleast 1 key that he would then own would free him of the fear of arrest... for now
he is so eager to show the world he actually has a private key that he would obviously pay you in dog food for that privilege

Hey Guys, If you would be able to get the full private key for one address for free... would you accept this offer? -> If yes which address and why? Best regards, Patrick If this opportunity would offered to me then I would choose one of the first addresses generated by satoshi and that has balance on it because people want to own one of the earliest address in the bitcoin history or an address that does not have an owner.

If it's my own private key then yes, but if it's not mine, why would I get that? Surely, your conscience will bug you for the rest of your life. You have your own key so just stick with it. You don't need to stole someone's private key to earn.

I agree with your opinion. For me, I will not take any offer like that. Its like stealing an asset and my conscience can't bear hacking or stealing someones "fruit of their labor". Just knowing that they are working hard for it to earn that much. Its a shame for those who are hackers because they are not worthy to have it.

Hey Guys, If you would be able to get the full private key for one address for free... would you accept this offer? -> If yes which address and why? Best regards, Patrick Good joke sir. Why someone will give his private key to anybody. Or if you are serious (though you are not) would you give me your private key? Definitely not. Then the question ends here. Please find another joke sir

Actually PayPals new patent heads into this direction. Once they own / store a big bunch of priv keys in their central DBs, I m very sure you ll see hackers ask and sell exactly what OP does here..

I like your approach to the question. While most people reacted to with what they'd do if they had Satoshi's coins or one of the exchange cold wallets, you came up with a vanity address. I'd try to find an address that contains lost coins, like the one belonging to that guy who threw away his old computer and later went on looking for it in dumpsters, but did not succeed. That would be a harmless way to get rich.
