Anyone happen to know if RX480 & HD5870 fans are interchangeable?

I was just wondering if the sizes are physically similar enough to allow them to be swapped, more specifically a 5870 fan -> RX 480
Also, if the fan connectors are identical?

Doubtfull, unless they are from the same brand same series.
It's not a "card model" issue as a general rule, it is a "card MANUFACTURER" issue normally.

 Even within the SAME manufacturer the fans will normally have changed quite a bit over THAT many generations.


 The fan connections might fit, there's only 2 or 3 of those in common usage on GPU cards.

Hrm.... well many reference 5000 and 6000 series cards use the same blower fan.... was wondering if it would happen to work w/ blower fan on newer reference 480's ....
