I have a mind that wish to do small investment for bitcoin platform (no ponzi scheme/HYIP) suddenly. The bitcoin faucet platform is the first idea that pop up in my mind. Can anyone can tell me about the advantages or disadvantages for operated this bitcoin faucet platform? Feel free to share your idea.

cons: bots could empty your wallets in a matter of a second if you didn't implement a security measures, need to reload it everytime so the users keep coming...

Do you know which bitcoin faucet is the most successful and popular (which could survive until now)? I'll observe their way of business type. I will prefer this platform because I thought that bitcoin faucet is the easiest way to operate and least management among other business platform. Yes, I admit that I'm lazy person.

Which company of advertising, popads, adsense, popounder is legit and will always make payment? Can you recommend? I will prefer the company can pay through PayPal / bitcoin / perfect money.

Visitors will feel annoyed and ban to visit the website, if there is many popup ads. As, I am one of them.

You can make a pretty good money if you can advertise your website well. On the other hand google has stopped paying faucets without any content inside. You need to generate extra content in your website which is extra work. You can always search for the other adgivers.

You need to get prepared against bot users too. They will suck you dry very fast if are not careful.

Anddd, adblocker users. They will also be a pain in the ass. Another extra work for you.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with all those extra shit.

I doubt if a lot of people play on faucets anymore, so don't really think it will get enough traffic, and if that doesn't happen, your ads won't get you any profits. If you are looking to make investments consider other ways like trading or altcoins.

If you run one you need to worry about being raped by bots, if your using one to get bitcoin it pays so shitty that its not worth the time. You can make more btc posting in threads and learning about bitcoin and other cryptos while wearing signatures. That might be your best bet.

You are not likely to make any profit from a faucet until you have a very popular one.

To become a popular faucet, you have to be in the highest paying faucets to make it "worthwhile" to visit the faucet, but if you pay something like 1000+ satoshi every xx min, that means your ad revenue will probably not fully cover the faucet cost, hosting, etc.

I would think very hard before doing something like this. Imo, bitcoin is too far along now for faucetting as the payouts are just so low nowadays.

Yes, you can earn money by having an ads on your faucet. Especially if your faucets have big reward, it's make more visitor come to your faucets.

Running bitcoin faucets are obviously not profitable at the current price and faucet market is saturated right now with lots of faucets in operation. You may have to put bitcoin from your pocket to make your faucet get good number of daily repeating visitors (not bots) which may take several months so patience will be key. However there is no guarantee that you will be successful in end of those several month of waiting and investment.

I think you better search for another unique idea.

i am agree with, that is really annoying for faucet owner, being raped by bots and not humans. but after all, if you can manage about the advertiser, you will get money from faucets.

maybe you can make altcoins faucet and give rewards that you really want to give. for example maybe you can visit and see about eth faucet. i think its a good idea if you can make faucet like that, but you can make it in different than them.

Do you have no better idea? Why a faucet? It is bad advertising for Bitcoin, since people get minuscule amounts for clicking on questionable ads that are extracting personal information. Operating a faucet is not without risks, too. People might use bots to get their Satoshies faster.

There are much better ways to earn Bitcoin by offering a useful service. If you want to earn money via advertising why don't you start an advertising network similar to google adwords? There are a lot of bitcoin-related blogs and potential advertisers that would be interested to participate.

it is not a good idea at all.
you don't have to invest that much money and you don't have to spend that much of your time but you can not really earn that much money from it either.

most advertising networks don't accept faucets and if you manage to fool them they will eventually find out and block you.
also people use ad blocks, and a lot of other exploits to bypass the faucet and claim without you earning anything from their visit.

IN my minds, better fo you to providing a service for bitcoiners rather than making faucets platform. I think the faucets just alive from their ads source. It's will be difficult for manage it and maybe it does not take a small amount of starting.

Well a faucet may turn into a cash machine, you wont be rich with it, you can get a monthly income from it, but be sure the road is hard, giving  a big reward will atract the bots, and believe me this is what is killing faucets. There are people making good numbers around faucets, but you have a long batle against bots, and your costumers must do their work, as all know faucet is a two side business, without support from costumers the faucet will open and die too fast.

I think the only purpose for bitcoin faucet is to promote the use of bitcoin by providing tiny amount for the first time users.

Since the amount provided nowadays are too tiny and you need to collect a few hundreds before the rewards appear on the real blockchain, many users just feel cheated and leave a bad impression.
