Your friend has swallowed a large dose of horse shit.  People who don't like thinking see bitcoin as some sort of black market currency, and it's absolutely silly to see it (or any currency) as that.  You can use fiat just as easily as bitcoin to buy drugs and guns and all that other stuff.  Hasn't anyone seen Breaking Bad?

Yes, criminals use bitcoin.  And terrorists, I guess.  But those people also use combs and foot powder, and neither of those items gets tarnished because of the association.

Bitcoin can use in criminal activity,when you go back when it's new there is more people hired a hired killer and paid bitcoin and buy drugs using it.but not this time many good use of bitcoin right  now and one of them is trading, and many other use of it now.

Yes agree with you, money is not bad of course, it is the one who spend it. 

Maybe that person who said that virtual currency is for criminal because he maybe watching too much tv and movies.  And it is because that virtual currency is not governed by the government rules and regulations.  People with bitcoin wallet and have funds can easily transmit and receive money without anything on it.   And maybe movies link the usage of transmitting money through the use of program just like cryptocurrencies right now.
