If you do not have personal possesion of the private keys to your bitcoin addresses all you have is really just an IOU. And the private keys should be offline safe from bitcoin stealing malware. You really need a hardware wallet if you hold more than a bitcoin. For less than a bitcoin the most secure phone wallet is Breadwallet.

There's a good list in bitcoin.com itself on the wallets tab where you can see at the upper left side.
I personally prefer you use bitcoin core or bitcoin unlimited if you're skeptical with other brands. However, it would take quite a while to download since it's a really large file and these aren't really recommended for new bitcoin users.

If you want 100% safety then I will suggest bitcoin core or paper wallet where only you have control of your keys, with other wallets your keys are accessible by wallet developers

Blockchain is actually believed widely among bitcoin users but we never know their wallets may get hacked sometimes i dont know, so it is always better not to keep a lot of coins in an online wallet like that and just keep them in a hardware wallet.

Blockchain is actually believed widely among bitcoin users but we never know their wallets may get hacked sometimes i dont know, so it is always better not to keep a lot of coins in an online wallet like that and just keep them in a hardware wallet.

Their services got hacked few times long time ago, there's critical bug when create new address in mobile application, their services often down these days and i heard some people have problem if they activate 2FA.
Those what i mentioned already fixed, but who knows if it's still safe to keep your bitcoin there.

Also know, online methods of storing Bitcoins are actually the least safest option to do that. The core rule in saving any coins are the following : If only you have control over the private key, it is the safest option. The next question will be, " Where do you have sole control over your private key? " - Answer : Offline storage for example paper wallets and also hardware wallets like the Trezor. The main concern comes with online services managing the private key on your behalf. This is the last option you should use, if you want to manage your own money.

is the bitcoin is really safe? where i can put my money for example blockchain wallet never scam me? or CEX.IO  is the bitcoin safe 100%? like the bank mean if i deposit in any company money will stay for ever or maybe i the company close any my money gone in this wallet? and where is the trusted list for this company? Kindly answer me about CEX.IO ... BLOCKCHAIN ?? ETC

The security of your bitcoins is depending on how are you going to put it in different exchange or different bitcoin wallet address. If you are going to put it in the exchange platform, I suggest that know it first the record background of the exchange, if you feel the record is good well keep your bitcoin there or in the blockchain wallet, you could also download a bitcoin core or multibit hd. That's it! Smiley

Yeah, we should do some checking and research about the bitcoin wallet will be used to store. for there are some fake platform and they do a scam. I suggest it is better to use blockchain to store the platform for bitcoin it is extremely safe and secure

it is obviously never safe keeping your coins in an online wallet if you know they are worth a lot because there is no guarantee about any online wallet if when they may get hacked or when your coins are stolen, so better to keep your coins in a cold wallet if they are a lot.

Blockchain is safe for keeping your bitcoins as far as you know how you can make your wallet safe, i mean even your house wont be safe for keeping your money if you dont know how to keep it safe, so it depends on you, in blockchain wallet you should just need to keep your password and private keys safe with you and you will be safe enough.
no, you are not correct.. blockchain is not safe it all. only keeping the password and private key won't make your account secure. bitcoin is a web based wallet, and web based wallets can be hack more easily than desktop wallets,
I prefer OP to use a desktop wallet..

common dude. yesterday you said blockchain is safe and good. and there is ways to secure account by keepint the private keys and passwords and now you are saying something else..
have you lost your own mind? or you don't even sure what is correct and what is not?

Right, no one give gurantee that online wallets are safe, it is just like that Bitfinex exchange, a huge people trust it and it has been hacked, so same situation will be happened in online wallets. So avoid that all things and create you own wallet in your laptop and mobile.

you should start some beginners articles about bitcoin to understand what bitcoin is and how it works you can start from the official bitcoin website www.bitcoin.org and read the pages.

blockchain.info is a web wallet and least safe but it is still a safe wallet. and also cex.io is a good place to purchase or trade bitcoin because they have credit card deposit and since they are old and trusted you can use them with little to worry about.

Never risk a lot of money ever by storing it to somewhere on the internet though how safe they are or looks to be, but they still always has the chance to get hacked or your coins to get stolen by a hacker or someone, so it is always better to just keep them with you in your hardware to feel safer.

well, the whole point about bitcoin is that you should trust no one, and just generate your own wallet keys on an offline computer and store those offline.

only keep a small amount online to easily spent those, and keep the majority offline.

if you trust someone with your bitcoin you might as well keep your money in a bank.

sure, a bank or a bitcoin company might be trustworthy (for now at least) but they could go rogue at any point.

By blockchain, are you referring to blockchain.info?
If so, please enlighten me about it since I haven't used it at all. I've only been introduced to Xapo from the first time I knew about bitcoin. Any specific advantage of blockchain over Xapo?

Well only Xapo owns the private keys, so you dont own the Bitcoins you have there, only some Xapo IOU. If nothing wrong happens, you can use your Xapo IOU and withdraw the Bitcoin. But the moment something goes wrong, you end up with just Xapo IOU, unable to withdraw the Bitcoin. Look at similar Bitfinex example what might happen at any time.

blockchain.info dont know the private keys in your wallet so its less risky to have Bitcoins there. But make sure you print out the recovery words for your wallet, because if you lose your login info, blockchain.info cannot recover your Bitcoins, because they dont know your private keys. So your expected to secure your login info/recovery words.
