A few days ago I pitched an android app to you guys,  and we both delivered.  I was funded and the app was built and is currently in the middle of page one of Google Play for term bitcoin.  The Ounce.Me Bitcoin Free App, main site and RSS feeds are doing well.

I tend to build things that try to solve problems,  in the case above I couldn't find anywhere else where you could get some of those Bitcoin Specific Price Metrics along with other hard currencies such as Gold and Silver in one spot.   I also didn't like the lack of RSS feeds with a simple price in them.   So I took the time to craft them to match what I felt the industry was lacking, and base on the traffic it appeared I was right.   It was my gut opinion that Bitcoin acts more like Gold and Silver than it does Fiat currency,  so they should be listed together as a comparison.

Now my other problem that I would like to solve isn't bitcoin related,  it's phone related.   Most (if not all) mobile devices do not have a view source option.

This bugged me when developing something,  I found apps that existed to view source,  however there isn't an easy way to share them.  So I built a primitive one with a very simple sharing method.  Please note, this cannot of course view server side source, it does however help webdesigners and others find out why his site looks crappy on a mobile phone and good on a desktop,  or why it looks ugly in Chrome, but awesome in Firefox.

The main site is here:
http://www.aosep.com

This is how it works:

This is the source code for the pizza index thread.
http://www.aosep.com/?url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

This is the source code for bitcoin.org
http://www.aosep.com/?url=http://bitcoin.org

This is the source code for CNN
http://www.aosep.com/?url=http://www.cnn.com

This is not 100% refined yet,  I'll need a few weeks to clean this up better,  however I am asking the bitcoin community if they can fund a non-bitcoin project with bitcoins.

I believe,  it's easier to attract funding in bitcoins when it's a bitcoin related project (such as ounce.me) but if it's not a bitcoin related project,  and if I still get funding, it proves my point to everyone that Bitcoin has matured to the point where it's actually a valid currency.   I know there will be a decent demand for this, it's not the view source that's the problem its the way source code is shared among front end web developers is.

I will put this on the android market if the complete total of the contributions equal 1 BTC (just like before).

I picture sickly, orange-lit zombies lined up at cyber-cafes and with smiles and a thin bead of sweat as they wait for their coffee mc-latte and bitcoin spikes. Quiet corners of lounges lit with orange and everyone knowing that was the bitcoin-geek corner.
Great job! Now shower and get some sleep. Wink

Sorry if this is hijacking your thread, but this makes me think the bitcoin community needs a kickstarter.

why not
wget http://example.com/
on a rooted/jailbroken device?

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
