Edit3: I realized that I could see the result (I won) before the bet confirmed. This is bad, because I could send a transaction, see that it loses and double spend it, or let it go through if it wins. Either require 1 conf, or require a certain fee (maybe 50k satoshi/kb minimum for instant results?)

I think what darkstar is trying to say is that if I send a transaction, say a 1 BTC bet, see that it loses, I can double spend it before it confirms, saving me from losing 1 BTC. If I bet 1 BTC and it won, I would let it go through. You should enforce a minimum fee for instant play (what luckybit does), or require 1 conf before giving the outcome.
